make some dinky cheap & purposefully lazy ships, make an alt, and act like a complete turd to give people someone to fight when the servers being boring

I tried to work with gravity, to get it to auto-trigger when a player enters the vessel...but I can't. So, yeah, manual gravity it is.

Personally I tend to go explore other star systems and planets. Or test something I've built in combat, whatever testing needs done. Improve on it.

Make Missile/Pulse chaingun.
Mount on station. Set the build sliders to 200 each. Place Power Caps. Make a galactic power grid network. Add docked reactors.

I'm not big on turrets, but I can say with absolute certainty that those will happily eat through anything of reasonable size.

its not an Astarte, but its close enough :P

It is funny to build a capsule using advanced armor and abandon it near a star (so it can't be broken using a laser gun). When someone walks in, it triggers a logic system that closes a blast door, enables gravity and activates a pusher effect in a loop. It's really important that the star is visible through transparent blocks so the victim can watch the incoming dead.
A safest solution to ensure the victim's dead is to activate a jump drive with the logic, so it will stay in the center of a star.
