Haha! There\'s three, actually!
Now, before I announce them, I\'d like to point out that the criteria for winning is whoever best filled the design request. This doesn\'t mean these were the prettiest, most imaginative, or most heavily armed vessels offered. They were just the best fit for the some of the holes in our catalog.
We would like to formally offer production contracts for the following prototyped designs:
drs93: Despite being something of a blank slate, your intitial offering is the perfect basis for a military transport. Provided you\'re willing to turn the design over to our team of Ship Makeover Artists for a new haircut and some contacts, we\'ll be happy to include her in our line of offerings as the VFW Devi-class Military Transport. Up to you, of course. We\'ll work with you to make sure the production model meets your approval, of course.
Cybertooth: Both versions of your corvette design felt perfectly at home among our catalog of ships. The interior detail was nice and, in terms of capability, really hit the sweet spot for a general purpose corvette design. If you\'re game, we\'ll give her a bit of a touch-up, and include her in our line of offerings as the VFW Bolero-class Corvette. If you accept, we\'ll make sure the production model meets your approval before rolling it out officially.
Yhgi117: I\'m gonna shoot straight with you. Your ship is too big to be a corvette. Aesthetically, it\'s barely a VFW ship. And it\'s great. The internal design was fantastic and the shape interesting. So here\'s what I\'d like to do: If you are willing, we would like to include this vessel in our catalog of offerings as the VFW Lyre-class Convoy Escort Frigate. Just like before, we\'d like to touch up the design a bit, give it a new paint job, the like, and start production. Up to you!
To the rest:
There were some great designs here. Not all were a good fit for the VFW, but all of them were great ships in their own right. I was honestly inspired and a bit awed by some of you, as well. I\'ve already named some excellent designs in my previous posts, but I\'d like to reiterate that this was a fantastic time for me and I a truely thankful for your participation.
The VFW will have further announcements as time goes by as we look at expanding our catalog and moving into new areas. Some of you, even if you didn\'t win this one, may end up being important parts of those efforts if you want!
Take care all. This contest is officially over.
