true just making sure you didn't make that texture pack for nothing. also your texture pack looks way better than the default texture pack its more smooth than the original and I like that. also why don't you like the realistic texture pack it looks fine to me I like it but that's just me and that's mainly due to the fact that its nice to have something different for once. also I hate the cartoon pack it doesn't fit in with the feel of starmade it looks fine but theres just something wrong with it and I don't know what.
It looks great sometimes and it's grown on me a little since it became an official part of the game but my biggest complaints:
    • Hardened hull looks too grungy and the grooves too deep (there for making everything look grimy)
    • Regular hull is tiled in one direction so it looks weird over long flat spaces
    • Pipes (long history there)
My Woodchuck looks amazing in in the realistic pack because of it's small size and mix of hull materials but my larger ships not so much. Some of the other textures I love like sand and grass and there are others that I like/dislike.

I don't mind the hardened hull and normal hull at first I hated it but over time I started to like it. also the pixel texture packs hardened hull is very smooth and im assuming you have seen it but I think you should load up the pixel texture pack if you haven't already.

Third Times the Charm. I finally built my originally planned two man Science and Research Vessel. My second attempt was once again too large, bulky and slow, and thus was scrapped. For my third and final ship I took a new design approach and am really happy with the results, and then I rebuilt it from the ground up because I had built the entire thing facing backwards. Kind of a blessing in disguise because I was able to increase the efficiency of the design during the reconstruction. The final size is identical but I much prefer the internal layout.

Introducing the Copernicus currently the smallest ship in the UCS fleet capable of self sufficient deep space excursions (according to the UCS Fleet Doctrine)

Click the Spoiler to read the rest of the write up and see additional photos
The Copernicus Class of research vessels like it's bigger brother the Galileo Class has all the amenities for deep space but this time in one tiny package as well as advanced sensors and a long range communications array.

This single room houses the bunks, galley, aeroponics, protein synthesizers as well as the ship's main processing core. The main bridge also doubles as the research lab and the cargo bay is capable of holding over 140 cubic meters of supplies and general equipment.

The Copernicus is also unarmed, like all science vessels, and has only a single defence turret but she has heavy shields and a 3.9 TMR

I had a lot of fun building this ship, I may want to try and build an even smaller "deep space" ship but it probably won't be a research ship. Trying to build a small ship that has a set of requirements is a nice challenge. I want to build a scout for the UCC as well as maybe a private civilian ship, something for those space hermits.

I like the colour scheme; it's simple yet is quite pleasing on the eyes. All these ships will look a whole lot better when the lighting bugs on the new hull blocks are fixed though :P

Yeah I can't wait for those bug to be fixed either.

I do really like the clean look of the white hull. My military ships are black and menacing and my civilian ships are dull and grey. The white and simple blue logo works well for my science ship line

I myself don't really have a distinctive colour scheme. I use predominantly white with black trim, maybe a splash of red in there, but other than that I just use whatever tickles my fancy :P

Haven't really built enough ships for it to be necessary either, I just build whatever I want lol

Your grey ships could use some better detailing with colors though your science line is remarkable. I suggest you build a Recon Drone. My drones are actually big compared to what I have seen.

My freighters will always be grey and dreary, they're space trucks, they don't need a fancy paintjob off the production line, although the axe/woodchuck looks amazing with it's little splash of color (IMHO).

Also I'm not sure I would like the M.A.M.M.O.T.H. with a fancy paint job, I love how that looks with just a few black accents and detailing and I did spend a lot of time getting that just right, of course you're welcome to paint it and try to prove me wrong if you like.

I know my ships are also not as detailed as others but I like simple clean designs and the way my brain works I cannot just slap decorative objects on, I need a reason for it to exist, everything has to have a purpose. I have to be able to point to something and say exactly what it does.

I have been toiling over the idea of a good color scheme for my escort line for a while now. Not having that inspiring spark is probably why I haven't attempted to build any of this line yet. They will be lower cost "warships" for civilian use so I don't want to flashy but flat grey just won't do.

All my ships have to keep to a color scheme but my Luxury line will be able to use what ever colors happen look good, so far I only have the one and it uses a white/grey combination.

The hammer is really intimidating. It's the kind of thing that you can't get any clear glance of. Only in the flashes of destruction does it light up.

Currently the M.A.M.M.O.T.H. is only on the old site, I'm trying to get all my ships up to date before I upload them to the site. I don't want to rush this process as I've already run into issues because I rushed one of my ships and uploaded a corrupted version.

Grey with Green accents is the color scheme for humanitarian ships such as this Aeroponics M.A.M.

While I really am enjoying my new information format I think I want one specifically for UCC as they will typically have way more information than I can supply in that little box. Until then, have an ambulance!

The M-826 Dove has medical resources on board to administer first aid, perform basic surgery or keep you alive long enough to get to a medical carrier, field hospital, or a station/planet with dedicated medical facilities. The Dove was designed to optimally fit in an L5-3 docking platform and features a flat bottom, 3 large access doors, and built in ramps for being able to easily land and accept casualties. The two high mounted UCS ion drives give the transport plenty of power while remaining clear of access points. The hull is also constructed from reinforced armor because these often serve as medivacs in hot zones.

I've been busy today, I'm trying to get as many things in order as I can because I will be going to visit family for Easter. I built that deep space scout ship I wanted, and I hope to have as many of my finished refit ship uploaded today as posible. (Lark MK1, Lark MK2, Lark MK3, Sparrow, Humming Bird, Swallow, Condor, Goshawk)

    Now onto the good stuff!

The Javelin Class Scout Ship is capable of extended stents into deep space although is not nearly as comfortable living accommodations as it's cousin the Copernicus. This is a military vessel so the accommodations are spartan and one of the crew must be awake at all times they must hot bunk. The Javelin is very well suited for treks into unknown or hostile territory, she has good shields, great thrust as well as being armed to the teeth.

great scout ship! also do you plan on building any spy ships they will be a great edition to your fleet :) if so make sure there both clocked and jammed :) also I need a good spy ship and your ships are one of my favorite ships out there I still remember when you first started building ships you were not that good and now you are incredibly good at building ships :D

I think you are thinking of somebody else. I've never built junk, my stuff has never been "not that good". Sure I'm no Dalmont or Nuclearfun, but I've always built quality unique and sturdy ships with an emphasis on interiors over anything else and if you've been following my ship building career as long as you claim you would know that I have two ships fully capable of cloaking and jamming.

when I mentioned you were not good in the past I am referring to the quality of your ship designs the sturdiness and firepower has always been the same just not the design. also I think dalmonts ships are really overrated I have build better ships than dalmont has :) I just need to upload them :D also keep up the great work I love your ships! :D

By all means, upload them! I'd love to see that. Besides, no pics no proof of what you're claiming.

Sven_The_Slayer Great job, as usual. Keep up the good work :D
