*What You Want to Do in the Faction: I'm just getting back into this game after several months of not playing so I would like to get back into the swing of things. Once I saw this game on steam I had to play it again, so with all these new things in the game I would like to learn the new weapon systems, maybe logic, start building ships again, killing pirates, making new friends, etc.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. At the time when I applied to those factions there wasn't much activity from both factions. I didn't even know that they were still around thus me stating non major factions as those factions were dead at the time. Sorry. Starfleet was pretty small at the time aswell.

The Great Novgorod Republic has decided it is in its favour to have an alliance with The Thryn. A message from the all wise and knowing leader of the newly recently formed Novgorod Settlers, states that the GNR believes that The Thryn is a growing power and has a lot of promise in the dangerous world of starmade and more so in the chaotic world of ElwynEternity. Thus the Great Novgorod Republic offers an official alliance to The for all know that "Alliances and partnerships produce stability when they reflect realities and interests."
We hope that an alliance will be mutually beneficial in trade and ship power and we pledge that in times of war we shall come to the aid of our allies!

Furthermore, Novgorod hopes to form a close bond with The Thryn and, should the alliance offer be accepted, wishes to put forward one of the novgorod settlers to join The Thryn (if possible) to make sure that our two factions are bound together ever closer. If this point is accepted, the Novgorod council will convene and choose a suitable diplomat to apply for the Thryn.

(I bought the game in 2013 and didn't play it/visited the forums for some time)


Starmade Skills:
Doing large and aesthetically good looking ships aren't my strong point (but I can work on that), but I do know my way when it comes to make every single space of the ship count in being usefull at something and lose as less space as possible.
... I put functionality before aethetics (and honestly, I don't have the time to put details on a large ship, if it's to be damaged during a fight).

Starmade Preferences:
Making every cube in a ship have a use. Designing ships (though, revisions might be required... But I'm pretty good at trying to think about innovative ship design sections).

Nothing grandiose, really. The ships I built (last time I played was in Fall 2013.... Though I'm getting back into the game) aren't the best looking, but they are great when it comes to space efficiency.

(from the old site. I dropped from the faction, because the owner had become unlikeble (blaming me (well, the entire faction, to be exact... They were pretty dumb, when it came to the game's stability) for a bug I didn't cause (he spawned a huge ship with many turrets, and then deleted it, and wanted the turrets placed on our planet. I made the job faster by building a basket-ship to bring them all to our planet, but then later on, the turrets bugged and became unusable), and other things...))

Now, on a more serious note, time to get my skills straightened up and work on my building skills (... When I have the time, that is... I have a full-time job, and the only time I can play the game is 1 hour during lunch, after work (and after I've eaten supper, that would bring me to around 7pm... Except if I'm doing OT), and during the weekend).
I should be back on track in no time.

Oh, I know that feeling - I was offline for a year and a half because I had no internet connection. We can definitely teach you about the new stuff and about building techniques, though :D

I played a bit, just now, and it's coming back to me (though I couldn't do much, without free blocks)... But damn, all the new stuff and weapon mods... It's a bit overwhelming, with all the new weapon and system possibilities (I mean, weapon mods, system rules, power routing... I already have some ideas of what I could make with that (like a cyclone of lasers)).
I think I'll be watching video tutorials in the meantime.

But yea, if I judge by my previous experience, my biggest problem is with building the hull of large ships. But hey, the more experience and pier review we get, the better we get.
