    If you're worried about data, why on earth are you still watching a forum, where text, images, even whole videos can appear at random to drain your data?

    Let's talk about the Mk44 WarSong torpedo. What do you think of it? It's my fastest torpedo, accelerating to max server speed in 1-2 pulses. It's also pretty heavily armed, and can make a crater about 3 times as big as itself if it has good impact.

    That said, I'm working on ultra-simplistic torpedoes to use in battle. All I have on a torpedo is: 1 power generator, one thruster, damage pulse comp and mod, core, rail docker, faction mod, warhead, bobby AI. That's it. It'll hit the target 9 times out of ten (Accelerates to ridiculous speed, as it's T/M is insane, can't slow down). Even if it doesn't, the movements of the target vessel will often slam the torpedo into the target, even if the torpedo pulls an AI thrust-glitch maneuver (Where it just sheds all velocity instantly, without regard for T/M ratios) and starts damage-pulsing the target.
    Can you upload a screenshot of it or even a blueprint? I am very interested into a real torpedo. I can not imagine a future with energy shields, warp gates, and beam weapons where my torpedos are dumb fired without target tracking.

    I mean in every scyfy a torpedo is the ultra weapon and each of them targets another enemy vessel to take each out with one torpedo.

    Btw...is there any warhead torpedo design that does penetrate 5 block deep into advanced armor?

    As far as we know, there isn't a torpedo that can penetrate 5 blocks of advanced armor. My Mk137 can penetrate 1 layer and damage systems inside, I don't know what others are capable of in terms of advanced armor. However, you can set the damage up so that one warhead can blow a hole clean through a ship

    There, I happily added a scale and took a good angle of the damage, convinced now?
    Oh, btw, thats approximately 34 Cone Diameters (Penetration depth/Warhead Diameter).
    EDIT:
    To add on to Madman198237 's reply, A damage pulse weapon causes the AI to orbit/strafe within 40m, not 20. However, 40m is calculated from the center of masses of the ship the AI is controlling, to the target ship. As such, small fighters would be impervious to AI guided torpedoes, contrary to the belief that AI can help torpedoes hit faster, smaller targets.

    It is the speed clipping bug, but my research has shown that there is more to it. For the time being I will not release the details, if schema changes warheads once and for all or I complete my intensive warhead research (both will take a while :P) I will prepare a full post on the torpedo thread here BUILD CHALLENGE: Torpedoes, launchers, magazines!.
