Elwyn is very stable. Although there are abnormally large sectors and some slight donor imbalances.

The donor TP thing is fairly unbalanced yes, but does have rules governing it to make it more fair.
Rules:
Battles
Never FTL directly into a battle. Things will end very badly. DO NOT warp directly to a target player, even if you know where he is. You will lose FTL access in doing so. DO NOT warp out of battles. This is cheap, and cowardly. You'll also lose FTL rights.
Large Ships
If you're in a larger ship, try to jump a sector away, then manualy fly into the desired sector. FTLing directly into the sector may result in collisions.
Be careful
Use care when FTL into an unknown sector. If there's a sun there, you will be warped into it.
Post TP
After you TP, wait a few seconds for the area to render. Use caution when FTL within range of enemy turrets; they'll fire before you even see them. Docked ships/turrets should normally FTL with you. Any crew members must be inside a core or a computer to FTL with the ship.
TP For PVP
General rule: Teleport at least 6 sectors away and fly the rest when going to PVP with someone.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!
It's been one hell of a year, but we're finally here. Let's take a step back and take a look at all that's happened so far.
The DFN was officially founded July 27th, 2013. After that,
We joined the UAF, got real big, halted a flamewar, created the biggest treaty to date, were one of the largest players in the largest war to date, teamed up with the CR to take on the many pirates on Illusive, saw the death of the old CR, the rise of many small factions from it, created a subfaction, got rid of a subfaction, stole a frigate, stopped a revolution, started a revolution, saw the death of the UAF, built a titan, built another titan, joined the Athanatos Concord, took on Odium, saw the death of Event Horizon, the second rise of the CR, avenged a stolen destroyer by blowing up everything a faction owned, fought a proxy war with a spy ring, and we're still up and kicking.
This year will be different. We will be releasing most or all of our ships to public blueprints, are going to attempt to take a step back from the more violent factions of the community, and focus more on building and competitions.
That being said, we were unprepared for a lot of the stuff that came at us. I am determined to keep our faction ready to spring into action should the need arise, and have the firepower and manpower to back that up. I'm looking into a skype network, a steam chat group, and easily setup/deployed ships in order to have a more rapid response to situations. Along with that, we will be introducing more screening measures in order to prevent infiltrations.
It's been a good year, a rough year, and I hope for many more to come.
