I can\'t wait until those are done because I am a huge fan of smooth, sterile, and realistic texture packs.

I\'m afraid the realistic pack is under very very slow progress. Not much free time currently to work on this, but i will find some time over the next few days hopefully.

I installed this pack today and since doing so the game crashes on launch. Do I have to make any modifications for high res textures to work with the game, or what?

You don\'t require any 3rd party software nor need to make any modifications to the game.

You simply have to find and replace the 4 texture files, t000.png t001.png t002.png and overlay.png.

They can be found in the \'Starmade > Data > Textures > Block\' folder.

The game crashes because you have added duplicates or removed files needs to play, follow the installation intructions on the first page of this thread and it will work.

I would suggest the problem is the t001 file. I was having the same problem and installed the texture pack file by file and narrowed it down to the file t001.png in the Textures>blocks> folder. Try replacing Kupu\'s t001.png with the original starmade file and see if that works.

I will do some tests later to check compatibility with newest versions as i haven\'t updated the pack in a while.

However if you could tell me which version and resolution texture pack you are using it would help immensely.

I\'ll post back if i find anything of use.

The last 256x256 version i released works perfectly with a freshly installed copy of Star-made.

Make sure you are using the correct version. Link below.

If you are using the 128 x 128 pack, there was a file name issue with the previously uploaded zip file causing a crash on startup.

The 128 x 128 version below fixes this.
