i would like to see those realistic textures get their own pack. just a side note, not too much of a fan of the standard hull textures

Sorry pal, I\'ve been really busy recently and unable to work on it. I\'ll be sure to update the thread if i do, but it currently looks unlikely.

I\'m not leaving the community or stopping playing with starmade textures though!! I plan to come back as soon as possible!

I was considering leaving this pack (maybe) and making a newer one with realistic textures. (not promising anything yet though ...)

I have, it\'s looking like it will be a pretty fun game.

I know a lot voxel games are stepping away from the minecraft like pixel art now, it\'s nice to see diversity.

I\'m sure if i looked and researched i\'d find a whole heap of them! (i just wish starmade was one of them..but don\'t tell anyone. secret! sssh)

Ok. So as some might know, i\'ve been toying with the idea of making a more \'realistic\' texture pack.

Something less cartoony than my original, still staying away from pixel graphics. Currently just playing around, nothing final here, but it\'s a start.

So, thats the rough idea of hard hulls.

Really nice man, super impressive structure detailing there in the interiors.

Nice use of the ice crystals too as a form of power cabling? Looks sweet. Love seeing how people are using the texture pack.



Do you think you could resize the images though? There so huge lol :D I\'d be happy to do it for you if you like.

I\'m not the biggest fan of HD textures for blocky games but I like where the hardened hull is going. This could give the game a whole new feeling. I kind of wish there were other geometry than the blocks for this though. That\'s what space engineer makes so interesting.

Yea, i know what you mean. I don\'t want to create super photo-realistic textures, it won\'t sit right with the games geometry. It\'s going to be really hard to get the right balance, hull textures and computers might be ok, but the planet terrain is going to be interesting! ha.

Yea! space engineers looks great huh? I must admit, i did watch that trailer and think \"with the right texture pack, starmade can compete with this on some levels\". So hopefully i can add some semi realism without making it all too dull and gritty.
