    Well, this sounds good - though I wonder how long it will be until 1000s of missiles becomes a regular problem. Meantime... it makes me want to build! :)

    Edit: just seen the bit about the shortcut for shapes - good stuff!

    any difference to anti missile systems effectiveness at shooting down incoming missiles with this process?

    seems much smoother, but ive noticed some missile artifacting or frozen imagery leftovers with missiles now, which i only used to see with cannons.

    I'm seeing a lot of missiles failing to impact, even vs larger ships. Many of them will just endlessly circle in the same manner as they do vs ghost turrets.

    starmade-screenshot-0074.png These missiles are endlessly circling a 30k mass ship with a pretty significant amount of surface area. Pre update they would have all impacted without trouble, now they circle as if it were a ghost turret or a very small object like a core.

    Here a number of them have simply stopped moving.

    hopefully this update stops players from using missiles at all hahahahaha

    this power change, it is still set to be included at the end of alpha? or are you going to phase it in earlier?

    This just looks like the "too many missiles" bug - where they stop "existing" in the game beyond a visual, and cannot connect with anything - unless the sector unloads... at which point if you load back into it... BOOM!

    Yes, but in this case, the strange behavior begins immediately, even with only 1 missile being fired in a loaded area.

    Why, that is the new mine-laying functionality, of course! Mine layers have been being asked for for quite a while, so Schine turned a pesky bug into a feature. =D

    Fair enough, but nontheless - does appear to be the same thing. I guess we can presume the bug has evolved!

    This will definitely change the dynamic of how weapons will be used. It used to be pretty easy to put enough Anti-missile turrets on your ship to handle as much as the server could handle. But now, I'm wondering how it will turn out. Will it be easier for AMS to shoot down missiles because their path is more predictable?

    An important and necessary update non-the less. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on power.

    Well, we haven't decided if we're going to do it. We haven't had a discussion of when we will do it if we did do it.

    GenXnova had all stations on server vanish from update need hot fix ASAP to restore from back up. Already tried to restore from back up same thing happened again. Need help.

    Two cases of player faction's home bases on Light Vs Dark vanishing as well. This is ridiculous.

    Happened with one of my factions HBs as well, so there's some pro points and some ...less pro points.

    Most missiles couldn't hit me in a 760k mass ship with its AMS turned off, they were missing entirely, im not sure this is an intentional part of the update
