    Hello players,

    Thank you all for testing the last build. The information was very helpful.

    the new pre-build has a lot more fixes and small new features:

    (password&username as always "dev") (should be available about 10 from this post)



    - issue of server spam with unknown types of connection now intercepted on client to get to the root of the problem, and the server won't be influenced by it anymore
    - changed build mode preview box drawing to another draw method to hopefully fix invisible block bug
    - G_DRAW_ADV_BUILDMODE_BLOCK_PREVIEW in settings.cfg can now be used to disable advanced build mode to workaround invisible block bug

    - improved check if skin file differs from server version
    - indicator animation should no longer reset on sector change
    - reduced lock-on gui-glitches (needs tests)
    - fixed rolling ships with keys to be framerate independent
    - fixed looparound when rolling ships, which caused glitches especially on bigger ships

    - added server config line to modify how much credits are lost on death (default: lose 10%)
    - added server config line to apply an time interval after death, in which players are not punished should they die again (default 5 min)
    - added server config line to force the player to drop the entire inventory on death (default: off)

    - added server config line to enable projectiles gaining the relative speed from where they are shot from

    - added server config line to customize starting credits of a new found NPC shop
    - added server config line to customize NPC shop credit gain over time



    (I also added some debug stuff to get to the root of some harder to fix bugs)

    This should help quite a bit. Hopefully admins can add some semblance of a stable economy. Good stuff, Schema!

    The rotation fixes look good. It really bothered me that I had to slowly tap the rotation key for most of my ships.

    I know there is a section for it, but can you add some background to the rotating blocks menu? Rotating black wedge on the black space is nerving sometimes.

    Sooo now with server config, you can set missiles to gain the relative speed of the ship that launches them? Locking-on missiles can finally chase down a fleeing target even when going full speed? D1000s are even faster when launched from a moving platform? YAY!

    Ok, thank you very much in the first place.

    Let me give a little update what the new update does (for me):

    without the config-change, the problem persists and there is one more: it now also cripples the fps to 1-2 (as if i were getting close to a space station or something), if a rotateble block is choosen. with the other blocks fps keeps stable, everthing visible.

    Now the config-change helps a great lot! It leaves everything visible and the FPS up, even for rotateble blocks. HA! Thank you!

    Another good addition would be a second set of buttons, the current set would be converted to pitch, and the other yaw, and a mix would produce roll. Much better than cycling through the list of rotations when there are so many for blocks like wedges

    Wouldn\'t that make them overpowered? They have perfect tracking and do not make gradual turns like the real thing would, they just instantly change direction every few ticks which is why their trails are always erratic. This would make them unavoidable and basically act like homing bullets.

    It\'d be nice if you guys added a feature which lets you see the frame of wedges and corners when placing instead of a block.

    And make the preview larger. Like make it have a whole menu background and whatnot. Its an important feature we all use, so it should be made easier to use/see.

    I dont know if this is fixed in prebuild already (not tested yet) but we discover some bug. When player are hit with rocket and die, server crash. I dont have a log yet but I\'ll get it tomorow.

    The default value on multiplayer made us LOSE 90% and KEEP 10%

    not KEEP 90% and LOSE 10%

    whoops, my bad. sorry.

    I multiplied it from the credits with the value but instead of setting the new value i subtracted it from total. I\'ll fix it for the release. (or at least set a better default and change the description)

    hmm toll das du die suicde funktion unatraktiv machst aber gibts auch ne alternative methode sich zu seiner \"basis\" zurück zu bringen ohne seinen weg vom spawn sektor, der auf servern ja nun meistens als \"trade hub\" genutzt wird, zurück zu fliegen? mancheiner müsste dann pro strecke 1-2 std fliegen evtl mehr...
