All of my virus protection software is listing the launcher as malware.

    two possibilities here, either

    A, it's wrong,

    or more likely:

B, Starmade launcher has been hacked and is a wide open door for hackers to attack my computer. I have had dozens of malware attacks on my computer since I installed the game, and they are only getting more frequent. I have no issues on any of my other computers (none of which run starmade).

My conclusion, Starmade launchers has some serious security holes that need to be patched up right away. It seems it's being used to open up doors that other programs are using. Please fix this soon.

    Thanks!

    perfect girls is virus free.

But the launcher isn't a virus, it's a security loophole for other programs to enter through your firewall. it just needs some security updating.

Starmade isn't a virus. Probably a bug with your antivirus.
    What antivirus are you using?

If you're using Avast I'm not suprised it detects SM as malware, since
it detected Planetside 2 as malware awhile back, probably still does.
I use Microsoft Security Essentials and it doesn't bug me with SM.

Trojan killer is known to have false positives.

The fact only one scanner detects a threat on a file, does not make that scanner better than the others. =)

Avast and Norton detected it too.[DOUBLEPOST=1417683033,1417683001][/DOUBLEPOST]I wouldn't be posting this if it was just one of them.[DOUBLEPOST=1417683236][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, Trojan killer is the only one that fixed the problems i was having. I am pretty sure the it and the other programs detected a security loophole in the launcher. I just want to let you know so you can look into it. I'm covered now. I have 3 different virus protection programs.

so you are running 3 av programs at the same time ? 8/ THAT must be fun!
and Avast is "not" identifying the Starmade launcher as malicious for me. Did you change the basic detection settings? So it may identify anything java with netaccess as malicious ?
