Thank you for showing interest in Joining Vivacitas! I have one concern however and it is a vital part of your application, Your bio does not seem to incorporate the Lore Hook that it needs. I suggest going back and rereading the server bio.

Thank you for the interest in joining Vivacitas! I have a concern though. you are missing a vital part of your bio and you need it to be able to be accepted. You are missing the Lore Hook your Bio needs. I recommend back pedalling back to page 1 of this forum and re reading the server Lore.

    Application

    Whitelist: Henji

Traits: Quiet, cautionus and nervous person.

    Character Biography:

Want to know about me? Heh...well, basicly I was miner, years ago, spending most of my time digging all the useful stuff, to be refined in later time, I must say I didn\'t see anything else than that. You ask why? Answer is simple, I had not time to waste for anything stupid, if I wanted to get the money required to survive in the \"Den\". What was \"Den\"? One of worst human colonies I ever seen, had my luck to end up there only to get stuck and be unable to leave.

Well it was till pirates decided to visit us, all I remember from that day was chaos and massive ship slowly preparing to jump into space, after looting the colony. For my luck I knew good spot to hide, deep in the mine, where pirates decided not to enter for some reason. I was left with little of materials with which I managed to modify mining vessel. It had enaugh power to fly and it was big enaugh to for me to live inside. For first few weeks I was flying in the space, trying to find nearest cilivisation, hoping to don\'t meet any pirates on my way. I knew what I will do after I will reach it, all I am worried now is if I will ever get the chance to make my plan, live.

Well, right... plan itself might sound...stupid, I am willing to build an massive...no wait, giantic spaceship! Yes, you heard me right, giantic spaceship, which I could use for my own purposes, like killing bandits, slavers and whoever else I would call an enemy of mine, you know...anyone who will try to stop me from flying around and perhaps trading with my ship, thats it.

Hello, Sin here with a question about starting a new faction. I was maybe thinking about starting a mercenary group to patrol unclaimed space and reduce the population of pirates. Would we be subject to the weapons ban if we weren\'t in Solarian/Lunarian space? And if I did manage to get a faction up and running, would we need letters of marque to enter SRN/LDF space, or could we be escorted perhaps? or would we be granted immunity for being a military-like (not actually military) faction? I was hoping to just gather some basic information regarding your approval of a new military-like faction.

    Let me know, Thanks!

Hello Sin. regarding your question. if you are outside of Solaris and Lunaris space the gun laws do not apply as you are outside of all military jurisdiction. BUT. if you enter back into Solaris or Lunaris fully armed you are fully subject to the law. No immunity, no escort.

In regards to Solaris they are more hands off easy going, what I have seen from the chat, you are warned only once to disarm. failing to heed that they take the vessel.

In regards to Lunaris We are hands on. you recieve no warning. a LDF officer will scan your vessel. if your guns are illegal you will be asked to leave your vehicle and submit it for impounding. Resistance usually results in arrest or the destruction of the ship.

resistance includes Flee\'ing, shooting at the LDF even with a pistol shooting at a officer usually results in death and being cloned. refusing to unlock it through the faction module

Letters of Marque will give you exclusion from the Gun Law. but only for the ship that the Letter of Marque is assigned to and is still limited. for example, if you decide your ship wants 60 AMC and two missile arrays of 30 each and the LOM is official you cannot go past 60 AMC and two missile banks of 30 each. doing so renders the LOM void (as far as I know) and the vehicle is suspectible to impound.

regarding the approval of a military like faction we have at least one already so feel free to apply!

Thank you for your interest in Vivacitas.

But it is clear you have not read the rules. I recommend re reading them if you want to be accepted. as you have either skim read them or completely skipped them.

Yeah I remember when I was in the SRN I was very strict with the gun law... It\'s like asking someone with a loaded gun to hand it over... sometimes I thought a safer course of action would be to just open fire on the offending ship. It\'s too bad about the escort/tolerance though... this means my allies and I wouldn\'t be able to enter controlled space without a letter of marque, even though our only real goal is to hunt pirates. This will make resupplying difficult since the prices at the customs station are so much cheaper. And about the military-like faction, I more meant I wanted to create a faction that wasn\'t subject to gun limitations, since our primary functions are similar to the SRN or the LDF. I was looking to make a faction with a strict chain-of-command that could work with the SRN and the LDF.

Yeah, I think working with SRN and LDF in that way is a bad thing unless you have a LOM. they don\'t trust their citizens with heavy ordnance why should they trust a group of mercenaries with them?

I mean you can still make the mercenary group and thrive. you just have to be cautious around the actual militaries. and if you do go into controlled space for missions be really subtle about it.

You really have to be careful with LDF though, we are hands on and strict with our gun law.

Actually, I\'ve been working on this idea for a new faction and I think I\'m just going to do away with the mercenary title. I don\'t foresee my faction members taking jobs from others, for that\'s not really what the faction is about. The more I develop this idea with my IRL friends who want to join, the more it moves away from renegade behavior and moves towards the pseudo-military idea.

The Rim Survivalist Fleet (RSF) was created in the fallout of a raider attack on an outer colony, away from the core-worlds of Vivacitas. With little to no aid from the core militaries, the colony fell easily and was ransacked thoroughly, with hundreds dead. The remaining colonists took refuge on a nearby world with a similar colony until they too were attacked. World by world the number of refugees grew until finally they banded together to fight back against the marauders.

Though they had no warships or funding, the sheer manpower of the refugee army was able to convert colonist vessels and merchant ships into crude weapons, and through overwhelming numbers they were able to drive back their aggressors.

Today they exist in a sort of poorly-organized military, their mission: to patrol the vast number of outer colonies and attempt to protect them from pirates, bandits, and other threats. Due to their lack of resources, they rely on scavenging the vessels of defeated opponents and any ships donated by friendly colonies. The only ship produced by the RSF is the RSF_Hydra, a cheap but reliable heavy-fighter designed to provide support for larger ships, or defend and patrol occupied systems. Officers are required to provide their own ship and armaments, and are usually compensated with the salvage they can find.

RSF ships can sometimes (but not always) be identified by their lack of basic structure and/or lack of color scheme, since they are almost entirely constructed from parts from other salvaged ships.

Recently, the RSF have been implicated in several attacks against various political targets, though nothing has been proven.

You are already whitelisted, your friends just need to apply with acceptable applications,

and if your not in the core worlds you will be out of Government jurisdictions where pirates roam free

(do not kill pirate bases, pirate attacks are spawned out of them the more and more you take out pirate stations the rarer the pirates and randomly spawned fleets until eventually the entire sector cluster is empty..)

Destroying pirate bases reduces their spawn? I did not know that... I destroyed at least 10 when I was in the SRN...

Hopefully we will find more out on the fringes.

And as for me already being whitelisted, I\'ve grown a bit bored of Sin of the SRN and have decided that I still want to contribute. My second character\'s application will be posted shortly. Until then, all Sin\'s assets can go to CDR Rahilly (or the highest ranking officer of the SRN).
