Captain_Bobby is not his real name his real name was AIQNU3663. (But well get to why he is called Captain_Bobby later)
AIQU-3663 is a household grade A.I whose main purpose was to help with daily chores and general repairs around the house. Around that time a great war was happening around the world with nation against nation but as a last resort to preserve this forgotten species a re-colonization ship was launched including AIQU-3663, but as luck would have it a pressurization pump failed and killed the 500 or so people on the colony ship. AIQU was left to drift in space for a long time but because the rest of the ship was fine AIQU’s power system was left online. The derelict ship was pre-programed to fly to the new planet and as it continued. Unfortunately the planet was already populated by a form of space slug who didn’t know much at all about other beings or even space travel! So as a fail-safe the ship took another course to an asteroid field to replenish it supplies for another quest for space colonization but during the refuel time, AIQU was able to escape on a small ship which had (for reasons unknown) had almost all of the ships records on it. The ship sailed on for a long time. During that time AIQU listened to the ships tapes and heard its name a few times and decided that it was time to be something different so it changed its name to Captain_Bobby, who was one of the ship’s crew members. As the small ship breathed its last few puffs of engine power the Captain’s only choice was to move in to a small one person capsule and went in to hibernation mode for the next number of years

Dean is one of the now rare first generation Augments, meaning his parents were naturals, un-altered humans of natural evolution. Augments were first created as designer children for the twisted rich, the money made from the private sector in the first year alone allowed research into Augments to be used to cure so many previously un-curable medical issues almost disappear. Then, came Blue World, a natural extremist group determined on eradicating all traces of Augments and research related to them, both cosmetic and medical, Augments left the world of their creation Terraria to giant orbital colonies.
In the 65th year of a strained peace between the Terrans a.k.a 'Naturals' and O.A.Cs (Orbital Augment Colonies) a.k.a 'Augments' the O.A.C Corlo 3 was destroyed by Natural ships, outraged, the Augments returned fire.
11 Months on a 3rd, much more powerful faction appeared, the servants of Baal. The two sides of the coin, Naturals and Augments, were united for the first time in in six and a half centuries against a single, galactic threat, and as they fought together, they stumbled together, into peace.
However, the Natural Augment war, followed by the attack of the servants of Baal left the great Terra eternally scared, and all but two of the Augment colonies destroyed. In the next 10 years Naturals and Augments spanned across the galaxy together in the great Terrarian empire. However distance did nothing to sait humanities' overwhelming desire for war, old revelries re-emerged and humanity once again began the cycle of its own destruction. The Augments were hunted to near extinction, then, the servants of Baal returned. For one last time the two factions united, United they stood, United they fell.
In the final years of Terraria, a program was created, The SEED program was born.
So named to inspire the seed of hope Augment science and Natural manpower were used to try create super soldiers, they failed, all they managed was to create Beserkers, normally well mannered and behaved, could switch to mindless killing machines, they were not enough and were allowed to live as normal people, believing they were Naturals, the servants of Baal annihilated the last of Terraria.
The story does no end here however, some had fled before the return of the servants of Baal aboard a stolen prototype ship owned by the Blue World Company Morgenrate, this massive galactic syndicate has been hunting them ever since, it is rumoured that Morgenrate has 'shady' ties.
Initial Plans:
Deans Initial Plans will be to obtain a jump-capable ship (If I'm not allowed to have serenity straight out of the gate) and make himself known to any potential employers

Story: Danny was raised in a mining colony, and learned how to use salvage equipment at a young age. At 16 he began tampering with more basic weapons and jump drive technologies, and saved for 7 years to build his dream ship the Centennial Sparrow. He had a short career with the ship doing odd jobs such deliveries (or sometimes smuggling) and sometimes even mining, he made a cool fortune, and developed a reputation for his impressive jump drive, he went on a rescue mission to save an old friend, but when he arrived he found his friend dead. As he went to leave his friend's ship he was ambushed by pirates. The last thing he remembered was watching the lifeless corpse of his friend drop to the floor of a holding cell. Following which he was knocked out and abandoned on an asteroid. He is now looking to do odd jobs in order to once again own the ship he spent so many years of his life earning, and to seek revenge on the pirates who killed his friend!

Sir Red Griffin III is the last known heir to the long forgotten, but once magnificent faction of Griffindor. At the young age of 14, Red was on a walk with his father and grandfather in the gardens of his Capital city Lordaeron. When all of a sudden ships begin bombarding the Capital. In a panic, Red's father sent him off in an escape Pod and told him that when the time is right, to avenge his family. That was the last thing red ever heard his father say. A few weeks later, Red landed on a planet that is now know as Xenoth. On this planet there was not much, other than a small village. In this village red was able to find someone to train him; Something his father and grandfather were talking to him about right before the attack happened. He began training and was getting good. A decade had past and there was no more Red could learn. That night he was getting ready to head out and seek vengeance for his family and reclaim the glory that came with the great faction Griffindor. He ended up having a few drinks at a bar, remembering the horror that he experienced the day his family was murdered. When all of a sudden someone starts mocking him, they recognized him and start calling his family horrible things. In a drunken rage, Red severely injures 3/4 men and minor injuries to the 4th. He was taken into custody that night. At the current time, a crime as severe as this was subject to 8 years in a cryogenic freezing chamber, But something went wrong, Red froze for 250 years.
Red is a fair, strong young man who normally chooses diplomacy over force. He is a Jack of all trades but a master of none. His greatest quality is to lead. His main goal in life is to restore the once great faction that is Griffindor, and bring justice to those who stand in his way.

We curate here an active administration team with specialties across a wide range including RP, architecture, ship systems and logic, event running, and more.
Focusing on long term community and persistence. As far as the game in its alpha/beta state can supply without world corruption. We will continue to run the server as long as there is a Starmade website up, maybe longer. We have an active and friendly community, we would love to have you among us!
Structured faction and catalog systems. Reducing clutter and lag for your enjoyment. Factions with less than three members are purged weekly. Join a standing lore faction, or recruit the people necessary to make one stick. Your faction is active long enough and you can expect to carry weight in galactic political discussion. Mostly allied peaceful factions reside in the core, with independent factions in the arms, and reavers out in void space.
There is no default personal catalog. There is however a quite nice selection of ships up through the medium size class. Donators may have independent slots assigned to them. Any build may be submitted to an admin for public or pirate catalog consideration. On passing both visual and functionality inspection the ship may be saved by the admin for public or pirate purposes. This also applies to stations.
