Bug Possible Launcher Bug: Black screen after sync

Hey guys,

I'm on windows 10, but after downloading the new launcher with Steam, and using it after I get sync with the server and its supposed to show the SPAWN/EXIT dialog its just black, but if I use the old launcher it works fine. Ideas? I haven't troubleshot this much yet.

try the following
open the Options Window on the upper right of the launcher and enter the path of your installed Java version manualy as custom Java option
the path looks probably something like "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_66\bin"

if that works please reply with what Java Version are you using

Tested with my local Java(x64) and still got the same issue. Can I force it to redownload?

are install paths for old and new launcher the same ?
the new one has a maybe different one and had then a new maybe broken install.

Alright did a full reinstall. Then I found the issue. Looks like it managed to pickup an old setting where I had turned on Oculus support! Turning that off fixed it. Thanks for helping me through my dumb issue. I should know better.

That is in since... forgot, but quite a while, I would think about a year or so:


However, if you do not have them attached and working, starmade will crash.
