Might be someone uploading/downloading a large blueprint, or someone doing some silly stuff with a lot of entities or ramming some large entities against each other, who knows.

With the bugs with blueprints and rails, the current version of Starmade is about as stable as Japanese bedrock.

I believe it's more about what you guys are doing on the server than the server itself.

It might be that, but I don't think anyone was doing anything too demanding just now, I think we were all just building.

well as someone stated somewhere, turrets in large amounts can cause severe lag, and blueprints somehow tend to crash the server as well. so try to not have too many turrets and rail stuff (mostly collisions), and be careful with BPs.
But then again, I'm not an expert on the subject of what kills servers, I'm just a moderator for NFD

I say keep a backup if it happens someone forgets to save their stuff.
