    in my build mode,after I relogged 5 times ,its still 292.0 mass [now lowered to 260.1]. I dont know where are you guys getting that from. But here is the updated version. [and I will continue to tweak it until deadline ofcourse]

    Okay so I yanked out one of the four guns on the wash and put some power lines around it, but I have hit a snag in designing the look.

    Beginning to regret not starting from scratch! :(

    Dalmont Make sure you enable docked AI on all ships before you start the fight as well, I've noticed sometimes mine doesn't spawn in with them turned on for some reason and it reduces its chances haha

    Hnnng. I keep habitually pushing the limit on how big I can make a 300 mass fighter. Seeing some of these smaller powerhouses makes me want to build something compact. *sigh* Time to build number three.

    they key is to have negative spaces between the systems and armor,that way the damage doesnt transfer directly(if StarMade works like that,I hope it does! o_O ),and it looks way more bulky :p
    and you dont need to cover every inch with armor,let the systems breathe :)

    I think negative space would only help against pierce and explosive effects, but I'm not 100% certain on that. My first two are fairly traditional chunks of armor packed to the brim with systems. I think the next (definitely final one this time) I'll experiment with more docked parts.

    Its weird cause in the catalog it says 400mass, but in build mode it says 325 with docked entities. If its the latter then it isn't too much over, if its the former then yeah it needs some downsizing haha.
    Buildmode is the thing to go by.

    Alright so i made a ship, this is infarct my first ever complete ship that was not a salvage ship!
    With that said, i know the weapon etc aint perfect or the power / shield. I just have no clue what I am doing when it comes to those parts.

    Stats:
    Mass 77,8 (with rail: 300) hoho
    Shield 5800
    Power 69000
    Thrust 114
    4x Turrets (atm just 4x rail gun, got lazy)

    The idea was to have a slow beam as main weapon and have 4x rapid dumb fire missles but i ran out of mass. Might do an other update 1 point with no mass restriction. The window protection had to go also (RIP) because of the mass.

    Anyway i held ya suspense long enough. Here comes The Brigade:

    Vertical ship!!! 10 points! oi oi
    But there is more!
    Small edit: the turret need to be in original position to close. Enter and press C for that. I hope for the future update it would be an option to activate AI and also return to original position

    When in battle mode the 4 wings forms 2 extra room for turret access:
