Hello. I am unable to get version 2 to run on my computer.
    Specs:
    Windows 10 x64
    Intel i5 - 2450M @ 2.5 GHz Quadcore
    6GB Ram
Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000 (yay, integrated GPUs...)
All drivers and plugins are up to date and working. The computer is old enough that there are no new drivers anyway.

The error I get when the game crashes:
    data\/shader/cube/quads13/cube-3rd.vsh
    data\/shader/cube/quads13/cubeTArray.fsh
Interpolation of normalVec does not match in vertex and fragment shaders.

Looks like the Intel drivers are dated May 2016.
Not a big problem, but they state they are supporting the following versions:

    Running on thread: main
    Adapter: igdumd64
    Driver Version: 9.17.10.4459
    Vendor: Intel
    OpenGL Version: 3.1.0 - Build 9.17.10.4459
    Renderer: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
    GLSL Ver: 1.40 - Intel Build 9.17.10.4459
    GL30: true
    Shader4Ext Capability: false
    MacOGL4: false
    ForceOpenGl30: true
    EXT_GPU_SHADER4: true
GLSL 1.4 is dated March 2009.
Open GL 3.1.0 is dated March 2009.

So although your driver is quite new, the hardware capabilities and support are quite basic.

You could try a very low resolution, like 800x600. I heard from a few people that this seems to work on some of the intel video cards with those borked version specs.

Changing the resolution did not help:(. Went down all the way to 800x600.

Honestly, I have no idea what version of intel driver I have. The version I have is the one posted here. The game works up to 0.199.654a, which is the last version I played due to work. I needed a fix to get it working then too.

Does that fix still need to be applied?

9.17.10.4459 is the driver version from the Microsoft update catalog: Microsoft Update Catalog
Presumably it's the latest and greatest but there don't seem to be any notes about it anywhere.

You could just try reinstalling the latest driver from Intel's site: Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 3000
or use their driver support tool: Intel® Driver & Support Assistant

To see which version you currently have:
    Intel driver readme.txt said:
VI. IDENTIFYING THE SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER
    1. Click "Start", right-click "Computer", and click "Properties".
    2. Click "Device Manager" on the left.
    3. In the "User Account Control" window, click "Yes".
    4. Expand "Display adapters" and double-click the graphics controller.
    5. In the "Driver" tab, note the Driver Version.

Um, I encountered a similar error and found an easy solution-
    >Roll back to the last version SM works in-0.199.654a (for me at least)
    >Go to StarMade\data\shader and copy the file named "cube" to another location. (preferably, do not delete this copy, so far I've faced this problem multiple times and have had to do this after every update)
    >Update the game to the latest Release build.
    >Head back to StarMade\data\shader and replace the "cube" folder with the copy from 0.199.654a.
    >Launch game.

The Fix was for the older version. It still needs to be applied when I revert back to that level. Sadly, it does not fix the new version.
I tried the Cube copy fix, with the old version fix, but it did not work. When I can get back to my computer, I will try again without the old version fix.

if it still isnt working .. please add the logstarmade.0.log file from one of the failed starts here (to be found in the logs folder of the starmade install)
just drag and drop it into a post here.

Sorry for the lapse. Work been crazy. I will post the log as soon as I can get back to my computer. Still not working, log will be from the, replaced cube file, fix attempt.
