Why is a Rifter important?
Ironically, the most iconic vessel to me is the Gallente Battleship, and the basic starter frigate.

For a while the Rifter was kind of the 'front man' of eve. It was all over all the ads and merchandise. It's also considered one of the best T1 frigates for PvP and low level PvE. Also it looks cool

I think you mean the Megathron, and yes it's on a lot of ads and merch these days too.

Been a while since I posted so I will show you what I have been doing while I manage to make time for it.

First let me show you the Algos. I have been spending lots of time on this ship trying to finish the exterior shape. I am now working on laying out the interior and the core is in it's place. It's going to be one of the most well done interiors I do for a while as it is the only EVE ship with a cross section provided. Wish they had more.

Next I have a video for you to all watch. It's nothing special. I made a Hematos which is the blood raider equivalent of the Amarr starter ship. It's slightly more powerful in some respects. Nothing crazy.


With this video I came to a conclusion concerning color variants. EVE recently started implementing various ship skins. Before this change the only way to see ship color variants was through the CPPC website. Apparently that process is not legit and results in bad ship textures. Makes sense. EVE has recently started putting in real variants that you can buy in game, meaning I can fly new colors for the first time. With this I have decided to do a few things with this project.

1 - I will only work on ships that I can actually fly and own in EVE. Currently I can fly a crap ton of ships. Perhaps as much as a half of the ones available. Buying them is another concern but for the most part every ship I have released I owned at one point. So far so good.

2 - I will not release a ship color variant until I have that ship skin in EVE. This means I will focus on actually building new ships instead of reskining the same ship a dozen times in StarMade. The issue is these skins are expensive. Very expensive. I do not expect to get my first one for a while. While I work (from home) I am often mining at the same time. Easy money.

3 - Ship skins are rare in EVE, so the only way to get one of mine in StarMade is to win one. Obviously you can take the normal base hull and recolor it yourself. That's totally fine. If you don't want to do that but you still want a unique looking variant then the only way to win it is by joining my livestreams or commenting on my videos. I will start drawing winners so that they can get a link to a download for a ship color variant. That will start once I own a few in EVE. Besides, some of these color variants are just too cool to let everyone have them :P

With that said I decided to spawn in every ship I currently own in EVE into a StarMade sector. The result is 15 fps of fleet awesomeness. I can't wait to buy more and build them.

Hello everyone. Recently I went over the Heron and decided to try and update it with current stat numbers. This was a big deal sort of because this ship alone sets the bar for all other ships in the project. When I realized I was not accounting for level V skills in EVE for my StarMade ship stats I realized that the Heron was drastically under-powered. This is already after the fact that the Heron has no room to spare internally. I reduced the weight of it immensely giving up most of it's armor in the process. In the end this allowed me equip the amount of systems needed... barely.
And so I present to you the Heron 2.0! The link to the download will be available at the bottom of the post along with all other ships I have updated.

Another new development is the changes to ship skins I mentioned in my last post. The Heron happened to have a Sukuuvestaa skin available in EVE and it also happened to be cheap. I bought it and reskinned the ship in StarMade. So here it is, a Sukuuvestaa Edition of the Heron!

As stated in the past post, alternate skins for my ships will not make it to the SMD, nor will I tolerate any ship skins of mine being posted there by others. You guys will be able to get these by joining my livestreams and posting comments on my YouTube videos. I will draw one winner per StarMade stream / StarMade YouTube video. Raffle things are something I need to setup on my livestreams and it will be a few videos before I am ready to handout this ship skin on YouTube so expect to wait a bit. These rules apply to unique/limited/special edition ships as well such as the Hematos posted earlier in this thread. Links to my channels below!

Gallente are to bulby to really look like Aeon.

That's why the colours make me think of Aeon, not the shape. :P

I would stick with the blue, it felt a bit more Gallente, or you could replace the white with grey, then the green would be more fitting.

The Gallente ships are quite clearly green now.

Having gone to art school I can 100% tell you that is more green than blue. I color picked the image in photoshop just to confirm.


For a long time Gallente hulls were some sort of teal color which made choosing difficult. I have no doubt that this is green now, otherwise I wouldn't be working on Gallente ships at all.
