I would've though being acknowledged as a schine member would be good enough, although I guess if it identifies him easier, then sure.

I think some devs and mods deserve forum contributor badges because they're very active in the community. (a rare sight)

Awards are only awarded for voluntary work (Not official work), if the medal existed before he was on the team, he would have been awarded it. Which is why it was given, kind of like awarded posthumously. Because once you're an official member, you're considered to be officially dead :P

Yaaay, finally that badge is out. However, the badge ribbon needs text wrapping; that ellipsis thing is annoying when there's clearly enough space for at least two lines.
