I think it's about time for me to make an overview of my stuff.
That might help people who are looking for sets and I have another opportunity to get some input.
May it be suggestions, advices, criticisms or any other kind of comment. This is the right place for it all.

Daro's Universe is quite expansive. Similar to what we can observe in our own.
Live itself is here a common sight, but intelligent live tends to form in hotspots of a handfull, somtimes even several hundreds of starsystems.
FTL technologies are usually not too potend in this universe. This means that till rather recently the hotspots had been for the most part isolted from one another and usually get a chance at interacting with other parts of the galaxy, when they have been reached by one of the oldest species there. The constantly expanding Terrans.

(Not related to star mades offical outcast faction)
The Dominion came to be by early terran colonists who set out to search for a new home during a time where the solsystem had fallen victim to chaos, caused by leery factions. Each ready to pull the trigger that could extinct the species.
At the end of their long and hardscrabble journey the colonists finaly found a rich world, perfect for their needs. Though they discovered primitve natives the colonists found a few inhabitated areas where they could settle down and build up their new civilisation.
Today the biggest part of the population is made up of terrans. About 17% are an humanoid genetically constructed species wich originally was created to provide the necessary labour power for building up the new cities.
The natives remained very close to nature and only occasionally get into contact with the Dominion.

During the 1. era the civilisation remained close to it's new homeworld, wich had been simply named "Heimat". A name that found it's way into the early name of the nation aswell.
The 2. era is marked by once again reaching out to space and search for more habitable worlds.
Arcane Class Exploration Cruiser
With invention of the warp drive the Outcast's Heimat had the means to go out and find more living space for themselfs within reasonable time frames.
The Arcane was their first deep space exploration ship and packed with the most advanced technology the civilisation had at the time.

In this time Outcast's Heimat was rapidly expanding over the vew reachable star systems and had begun to build a network of "high tech" warp gates.
3. Era Gunship (It will get an acutal name eventually)
With these ships got plasma cannons introduced, though first models were quite bulky and only found an use as forward mounted main weapon, wich had to be straped directly onto the reactor.
Early units of this class came with an warp ring. This was left out on many later units, as the growing warp gate network could take ships to almost any part of the Heimats teritory.
(Under construction)
T7 Freighter
As the first civil transportcraft to be manufactured, this ship marks the beginning of interstellar trading for the Dominion.

During this time the nation adopted a new name in celebration of it's rapid expansion during the last decades: The Outcast's Dominion
But the era is most notable to be the one in wich the Dominion had to engage into it's first real wars.
Athena Class Cruiser
New manufactioning technologies made it possible to build armor plating in higher quantity and more complex shapes than ever before. This gave way to vastly more durable ship classes. On top of that was the Athena designed for quick outfitting with different systems for different missions. This adaptability let a huge amount of units constructed and the class became quickly the backbone of the fleet.
(Could use some update. sometime. maybe.)
Maya Class Fighter
While the enginiers managed to cram hangars into the athena class they could not make them big enough for standard fighters and still have the ship function as intended. So they designed a fighter small enough to fit in. As a result of the size, the maya became rather fragile and turned out to be little more than canon fodder. Thus these ships were often send out unmanned.
Harpyie Class Bomber
The Harpyie was able to carry a good amount of missiles and was capable of dealing decent damage on systems, but it weapons had problems with coming through strong armorplates. A weakness that would carry on to her successor.
In the end however the harpyie had been used rarely since she could, like most Dominion fighters, only land and lunch at outposts.
Asena Class Fighter
The Asena was the designated dogfighter in the fleet. She had a whole battery of plasma canons and heatseeking missiles, meant to be used againsed enemy fighters at short distance. Still had these ships only few actual engagments, for not many battles were fought inside Dominion territory during this era.

Participation in the war during the earlier era let fleetcommand to believe that they had to change their strategy for the future.
The new designs got a lot more specialised and warp drive became standard for bigger ships again, as the war showed the importance of fleet mobility.
Lilith Class Battleship
This ship was mostly meant to be a demonstration of power. However, the construction took so long and was so expensive, that the prototype was already outdated on lunch and the next two units had been canceled.
(Needs some serious update; And maybe i should finish it sometime)
Lilith Prototype Battleship (WIP)
Kali Class Destroyer
The Kali may have started out as an experimental planetkiller, but it turned out to be a capable attack ship for fleet engagements.
(Is being updated)
Kali Prototype Destroyer
5. Tiamat Class Light Destroyer
The basic frame of this ship is been based on the Lilith, but as a destroyer it's more focused on offense than defense. Actually, the imbedded design concepts have proven to work alot better on this kind of fast attack vessel.
While it's smaller size does limit the ship's overall battle strengh, it also makes for a cheap alternative to the Kali.
Tiamat Class Light Destroyer
Diana Class Gunship
While the classical gunship category descriped a weaponised ship capable to cover severel starsystems it became more specialized later on. Modern gunship are only addional firepower for fleet engagements. As such they only have a minimum of defensive systems and crew aswell as relatively huge weapon modules.
Diana Class Gunship
Ceres Class Corvette
Corvettes are rather small, but hold a small crew and get typically equipped with a warp drive. The ceres is mainly meant for patrolling systems and is only occasionally seen in battle groups. However it's then often equipped with torpedo tube modules and acts as long range bomber.
Ceres Class Corvette
Harpyie Class II bomber
The Harpyie II followed similar design concept as it's predecessor.
But with the increasing number of ships with armor too heavy for small misslies, light bombers became kinda irrelevant for space combat. At mid 5th Era only a few outposts were still holding some units and even they rarely left the hangar.
Harpyie Class II
Dryad Class Fighter
The first prototypes for this heavy fighter had been build very early in the 5. era. Soon after, the project got pushed aside in favor of developing bigger ships.
Only as outpost defence came back into focus, engineers pulled the design out again and completely modernised it, resulting into a sturdy defence ship.
Dryad Class Fighter
Aswang Class Fighter
The battle fleet is in this era still holding onto a large number of old athena class cruisers. Too many to just replace them. Therfore drydocks use the class's convertibility to keep the ships somewhat up to date. The Aswang also was part of this attempt and replaced the old maya. To this day arguments are being held wethever or not the new fighters actually improved the cruiser's performance. Since size is a pressing factor in these small hangars, there is only so much fighters can do.

The Union started out as a military cooperation of severel rather different species to create a effective counter for the threat of the Amphibos Colonial Empire.
Their early attemps of a colaboration did not prove to be much of an advancement. However, with time their numbers grew and they earned more experience with handeling combined recources.
At the time when aggressions between Union and Empire were finally put down alot political, economical and military organisations had been firmly connected.
Most member species just kinda stuck together, even though the original reason for forming the Union didn't appear to be much of a threat anymore.

6. Era Heavy Warship
This thing already pushes my computer to the edge. So I'm not sure if I cotinue it any time soon.
Technological restictions are so irritating.

While Amphibos are not necessarily an highly aggressive specices they did seem to have a tendency to ignore interstellar borders. Based on their habbits it appeard that amphibos simply didn't had much concern for other species and just took recources and artefacts at will. While occasionally the locals waged war in order to stop the continues intrution, these were quickly shot down through the Empire's quite advanced technology and logistics at the time.
Over time more and more forces in the cluster found one another and some eventually formed an alliance in hopes of finally stopping the Amphibos from endlessly expanding.
What followed was a long conflict were that alliance's combined tactitcal and technological abillities actually began to inflict considerable damage.

This is the time in wich the Colonial Empire was at it's highest, but it also had to deal for the first time with enemies it had to take serious.
The Dragon Warbeast
This ship was the pinnacle of Amphibos engineering during this age. Equipped with numerous weapons and highend armorplating, it build the backbone of the fleet and dominated the cluster.
Even the ships wich had been specifically designed to beat the dragon, by what would become the Protector Union later on, had their difficulties in actually handling it.
(Under construction; After looking the ship up again I have to say, there's still alot to do here)

The empire has been in constant conflict by now. Although less developed species could still be easily overrun, when they showed hostile behavior, the empire as a whole saw it's expansion heavily slowed.
People started to grow tired.
Recources became more scarce.
The Protector Union became more dangerous with every day
Even a new considerable power joined the conflict
The Amphibos Colonial Empire had to fight harder and harder for every sector.
Towards the end of the 4. era however, hostilities finaly went down a great deal duo to the Radiant guard incident.
Even though there haven't been any peace negotiations.
The Dragon Warbeast MKII
As the ongoing skirmishes slowly turned into a true war, the aging Dragon class was at first considered to be replaced as the Emprie's principal warship. In the end however the Emporer could be convinced to have the current design updated. Following the decision shipyards and large outposts worked around the clock to make sure that the Amphibos could hold on to their technological edge.

The hostilities mostly stoped, with only very few skirmishes between rough ships remaining. The Colonial Empire barricaded itsdelf inside the borders and finally had some time to relax.
However this would not last very long as the Empire started to politically destabilize.
When one of the occupied worlds finally declared it's independence more would soon follow. The Imperial Guard's attempts to get the situation back under controll, quickly escalated into a full blown civil war. The Independent were not one united group though. During this conflict many ambitious leaders rose to power, who each wanted a piece for them selfs. Alliances were constantly formed and brocken again. Territories changed almost at a daily basis and everywehre one could walk right into a trap.
The only constant in all this chaos was, that everyone had the Colonial Empire as their mortal enemy.

The Process of rebuilding the Empire however, lasts throughout most of the 6. Era.
Leosteus Class Guardian:
This small craft was designed to aid the shattered fleet in upholding the new found order in the Colonial Empire. The ship was designed and produced quite hastely wich let to some issues, but ultimately it became very succesfull through it's quick production process and the ability to perform it's duty on planet surfaces.

First reports of the Jade Civilisation date back to the beginning of the 4.Era. Though it can hardly be called an civilisation any more.
Their technology is based entirely on automated systems. The biological species seems to have vanished aeons ago. Presumably through some kind of civil war.
The first contact was made by the Outcast's Dominion in one of their more recently colonized star systems. When an expedition woke a massive, idle structure, they initiated a chain reaction wich woke any unit in the system, that was still operational.
These drones immediately started to attack any ship and member of the dominion as well as to collect recourses and to build more drones.
They seemingly acted upon an old defence programm and tried to drive out the unknown forces.
The conflict lasted almost a year. In that time the dominon had barely any victorious moments and even then all they could do, was to slow the Jade Civilisation down.
In the end the system had to be abanded and the Dominion put it in quarantine.
Lukily the drones of the Jade Civilisation didn't seem to attempt further expansion into other systems.
