So, I just downloaded Starmade and I haven't played it at all. When I run the launcher, it runs just fine until I hit start. Then the normal options menu comes up, but with an error message. It says
A JVM Crash has been detected
(if you have are already taken care fo the problem, you can ignore this message, and it won't show again).
Otherwise: This crash is most likely caused by a graphics card driver error.
I can't really do much myself to fix this kind of problem.
Updating your graphics card driver is the best change to solve the problem!
The problem is 99% on Intel cards. If you have an Intel card, plese try:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/graphics
if it still doesn't work you have to find & download the driver manually from intel.com,
since the update tool doesn't always supply the newest Version
I hope this information helps you
And thats it. Once I hit OK on the message, the options menu is still there, and I can edit all the settings and still hit OK. When I do, a black screen pops up for a second or two then goes away, and that's it. I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT graphics card, and I updated the drivers and restarted my computer. The same thing happens.
I have also run the Starmade Checker, and I think everything checks out.
