It says I need to update my intel graphics card to play, but I don't have one.

So, I can't play single, or multiplayer. It loads to 100% usually, then gives me a message about updating my graphics card. I don't have a card though. I am not getting a new computer. Also, I tried a new launcher, but I can't install it. Thanks again for help

You always have a graphics card or a chip of some kind, otherwise you wouldn't have any picture on screen. Chances are that yours is an integrated Intel HD series chip embedded in the CPU, if you have no dedicated video card. The game is most probably prompting you to upgrade your graphics card drivers, and not the actual card itself. Starmade is somewhat notorious for problems with Intel's HD series integrated graphics chips. Since you didn't post any information on your computer setup, it is hard to troubleshoot the problem you're having.

Please search in the install folder of starmade for the folder Logs.
In there should be a file named graphcisinfo.txt and Log.txt.0 (remove the .0 part from this) drag and drop both of them into an answer here-
and . are you able to tell us what exact hardware you are using ?

and graphcisinfo shows your GPU as being a HD4000 intel

have toguess guess here, but maybe on this page are the latest driver for that
