Suggestion freshdesk issues{suggest new help-tab link}

    Before going to the Bug tracker "phab". I tried to use the help tab. It leads to freshdesk. freshdesk has very little information on it. It only seams to have 15 help issue accross both categories. I tried registering there to post a issue I am having. trying to link my google account gave me a security warning and blocked me from linking. Tried registering and logging in. I couldn't get past the captcha. Even though I am certain I had it right each time. Logging in using my starmade credentials just gave a straight up error.

    As for phab. It isn't easy to find. I had to look all over the site and go through several totally different links to finally get there. Had trouble finding the links again. Finally bookmarked the site. It is a lot better and easier to use. The thread template system is really nice and explained very well. The search worked well for me too.

    If phab is a official site can it be used as the link for the "Help Tab" you have on your sites. Maybe link to freshdesk somewhere else if it is absolutely needed. Like a stickied support forums thread or something.

    Edit:
    Looked at my setting for my google account. Found out it had linked accounts to freshdesk. Just never actually logged me in. I deleted that connection from google.

    Today at " http://phab.starma.de/ " I was given the link to another site " http://help.star-made.org/support/home ". It looks exactly like the site linked by the help tabs on " http://starmadedock.net/ " and " http://star-made.org/ ". Except that it is called " starmade . freshdesk " (i removed the domain and placed spaces in so it wouldn't be picked up as a actual link.)

    These links and the fact they all lead to totally separate sights are making issue for me. I hope to get this resolved.

    phab.star-ma.de is our bugtracking site, if you with to report a bug with the game, please do so there.

    help.star-made.org is our support site, if you have an issue with something like registration, authentication, changing usernames, purchases or whatever else that isn't directly an issue inside the game, go there. Our support team will respond to your ticket usually within 24 hours. Freshdesk is the support software that we use at help.star-made.org, starmade.freshdesk.com is the same site as help.star-made.org. I'll look into reducing our officials links to just one domain to reduce confusion.

    I'll also take a look into promoting phab.star-ma.de on our other sites (such as star-made.org and starmadedock.net), as it is an official site. I agree it should be more visible.

    Thanks for that clarification. The problems I have been having with the game and two completely different links leading to what seemed to be the same site was worrying me in the extreme. The imgr pic issue has added tons to it to.

    I have been clearing my browser cache repeatedly. Changed password on sites. Looked over my host files. Found the connection i use to get to my router was set to use a DNS I didn't recognize (turned out to be a setting that comodo left behind, I forgot that I had told it to do that). On top of that I have been trying everything I could to get starmade to work on my computer the way I want it to ever since I bought it on the 22nd. Only doing other stuff that I had to (sleep, doc, etc). I currently am working on the issue with playing starmade over at phab.

    This has been a horrible week for me. This is the worts security breach that never happened I have ever had.

    Hello Mr.Grimm
    that error with helpdesk stating the connection is unsafe is a general warning when leaving the SSL connection toward freshdesk.

    So whenever we use an URL to a non-freshdesk site and do not on enable the option "open in new tab" it will give this warning.
    You can ignore those, and hit "continue" to follow the URL to the site we supplied.

    However, if this causes too much issues feel free to drop me a PM here or mail, we can go through this there if any of our official ways does for some reason not work for you.

    I will no longer be discussing my game issue in this thread or on phab. I have opened a support ticket on freshdesk. As I have been repeatedly advised to do :)

    I am feeling much better. All the information that has been provided to me has helped me a lot. Thanks.
