Found another 2 lost ships, undocked and unloved by their owners which we welcomed with open arms after freeing them from their oppression by burning (torch) their shackles (faction modules).

Both ships were extremely well detailed, with reasonable suspicion on my end that they are SMD community content. Either way, the ships' fate will be decided soon, but it will probably be converted into resources after a life of maltreatment by their previous owner, to reborn into first rate fighting ships. :p

- NEWS from the Front! -
Cobalt Royalty launched a small battle group on the Thryn Monarchy Homebase approximately 4 hours from now. It composed an Omen class heavy cruiser and a nemesis class frigate. The Omen was the one to barge into the Rotterdam planet. It engaged on of Thryn's Gagarins. The fight went on for a bit, the Omen held up decently until 2 additional Monarchy of thryn ships engage the Omen as well as two Trident Industries ships. The Omen takes lots of hits, and eventually is forced to use emergency jump drives after the jump drive taking damage during battle. The Nemesis's missiles glitched out most of the time and did no noticeable damage. Video footage of this fight will be up in the following week.

Thryn didn't like the Omen.

Later on, a single nemesis fires heatseekers at the Rotterdam planet, forcing the online members to take cover within the planet. However this attack was considered not succesful as no real damage was done apart from a 2k mass ship getting blown up.

About half an hour later, three total Cobalt members are online. Another battlegroup was deployed at thryn, composed of a repaired Omen, and two dragoon class destroyers. Two thryn ships engaged the battlegroup, one Gagarin and an Aether. The fight lasted for a whopping twenty minutes due to immense lag, and ended with the Gagarin retreating to homebase and the Aether getting killed. Unfortunately no video footage will be available, as too much lag was involved in this fight so the recording software was ended to sacrifice more performance for the Cobalt pilots.

About 10 minutes after the battle, a Thryn cloaking ship invades Cobalt GenX Facility attempting to kill the two online members with swarmers and disintegrator blocks. However the boarding ship was uncloaked many times, and eventually retreated.

Out of sheer boredom of the players on TS3, the admins of GenX Nova arranged a small ship to ship fight.

I used a smaller Nemesis class Frigate and fought Jolli of Dread Syndicate. With a good bit of luck, I came out on top even though the opposition have both better pilot (He is definitely better than me) and a slightly heavier ship (could be due to all that advanced armor though).

The admins have agreed to reimburse both participant their ships, and it was an awesome fight that helped break up the monotony.

Overall, it was nice to have some action. Thumbs up to Dread Syndicate for participating. .

Holy crap you're right, it's pretty cool if you think about it XD, but we can't really say which is better cuz you know....... Server uber laggy.

We didn't exactly "take cover." We were tracking Ace with a scanner, and he jumped in and dumped swarmers in between scan recharges. We didn't even realize he'd dumped swarmers until we asked in chat why he was leaving (since he was no longer showing up in scans) and he said he was dropping off a package on his way home, at which point we noticed a small undocked miner overheating, with a bugged out swarm missile orbiting around it.

right now, it's almost correct.........
they rolebacked the server for 9 days.
the battle never happened....
I guess thyrin gets a second change

The Gargarin is surprisingly big as well, and I am going to stare at the Omen. Ace built it to hunt pirate, it is time to make is actually kill something...

Are you referring, perhaps, to when Ace dropped some swarmers in our sector and we didn't even notice until he told us?

Samuel even Aceface doesn't regard that as a battle, I spoke to him on steam. So please don't make the CR look pathetic by doing so.

Back to the point, I believe it's fairly impressive that the CR fleet survived a 1 v 5 while bagging a win in a 3 v 2 :P nice work guys, hopefully GenX gets a better server and we can get a video next time :3

Alrighty, this is a summary!

I would like the Monarchy of Thryn participants Azeriah and Lecic to confirm this with me in a PM so I can insert relevant information. This is from my knowledge thus far:

The first battle which was put into video format was a Thryn Victory, this was due to:

A) Aceface warping out early
B) Aceface's ship suffering structural damage while Lecic's vessel remain shielded
C) Aceface's admission of defeat - I confirmed it in TS3 with him

Well played on the ends of Thryn and it was most certainly fun to see some shooting

The second battle which followed afterwards was a CR victory, this was due to:

A) The death of Azeriah
B) Lecic re-docked his vessel to home base

Thus far for the Thryn-CR war, the score is 1:1. Hopefully there will be more action on both side, and more fun! On both ends, I would like to congratulate you all (Thryn and CR) for doing something entertaining.

The staff over at GenXnova is making every effort humanly possible to reduce lag.

Make no mistake being a number one server on starmade is buggy dangerous and laggy.

The action taken by the staff (including banning planet mining) has massively reduced the lag down to acceptable ping times of 70.

But people continue not to read the rules as they just jump in and thus the lag can at times be quite high.
