Since this has gone a bit messy I kept out of it, until a reply was added.

Please run the Starmade System Checker and check it can 'find' the 64 bit Java version.

If there is no message or error:

    Download the current release zipfile:
    Release 0.1421 (20140404_194643)
Unzip it into an empty new directory.
Redownload the Launcher for your system, and place it in the same directory.
This should result in the launcher being in a directory, right beside another directory named 'StarMade' + the zip file itself (maybe) and nothing else.

In case you use a windows computer go to "%appdata%" and remove the whole ".starmade"-directory shown (while no instance is running)
(Or similar directory on other OSes)

Uplink again and now try joining a server.

In case this fails, please send me the /logs directory created with the new new installation.

Ok i have tried the SMC it says all is good. I also tried the fresh install of starmade i removed any trace that i ever had the game in the first place then as you said and still the same. I would just like to know what log are you taking about what is the name of the log and also the log of starmade or the log of SMC?

    The logs are in
    ./StarMade/logs

(Path relative to 'launcher' -> Launcher in C:\Starmade path to logs would be: C:\Starmade\StarMade\logs)

    It contains files named:
    graphcisinfo.txt, log.0.txt, serverlog.0.txt, log.1.txt

Those files should be zipped and sent to me.

While you deleted the logs, there was an instance running and calculating a collision between:
    A Planet
    and
    a BC-304-Deadalus

    On restart it also stated:

    Code:

So none of the logs contained a clean installations' startup.

Please read this. And follow the instructions on 'predictable game state'.
Then please post your logs again.

    Thanks in advance.

I have the same socket write error. I also can't re-download the game or jar file. The autodownload stops working before any download starts. When I try to download it manually I get a can't find page error. Please help
