This time, I have a pretty basic question for you: Of all the ships on the dock, which ones do you think would pass as "final boss" material? (Yes, I know that SM doesn't have bosses) Both ships and space stations are allowed as candidates. My only request is a picture and link to its page in the Community Content section.
Before you ask, you can create a new ship just for the purpose of this thread; just know that this is NOT a contest. This is just a thread gathering and discussing the toughest ships in StarMade.
Ah, but the endgame of starmade isn't about conquering the game, it a about keeping the game from conquering your computer! And what's more insidious than thousands of the crummiest, saddest vessels reigning supreme? Lol
Kind of like how the empire can rule a galaxy with stormtroopers and easily disabled star destroyers lol
well, it is not yet finished. however the bridge alone is bigger than any of madmans bosses.
THE BRIDGE:
(will be) Over 3km in length, about 1km tall and wide, with an average of 15m of adv armour across the ship...as armour. 6 macro cannon batteries (each battery has 4 macro cannons, and each macro cannon would be a very powerful cannon that will over pen anything while leaving a very large hole in anything that has lost its shields). 3 heavy lance turrets, 20 light lance turrets, quite a lot of smaller point defence turrets not including AMS. It will also have a large hangar that can carry about 30 ships...at least.
It will be slow, but still extremely hard to kill because I will give it an interior and quite a few million shields. And furthermore it will be defended by a fleet of cruisers and battle cruisers, each battle cruiser would theoretically be the size of Valkyria-Class.
so yeah, the divine fury would quite easily be the ultimate final boss of starmade, even for the game itself because if the game can actually still run while this thing exists, then starmade would actually be the final boss for all games...oh and big ship too.

Make sence, but we still need something that sommon all this minions. Of course they conquered the galaxy with Stormtroopers but the bossfight was still the Deathstar.

There was once an absurd AI titan on the Dock, before the rail update, called The Rex. If someone took the time to update it, it could be a good candidate.
Why does the end boss gave to be a ship? How about conquering The Void itself, lest it swallows up and rends your galaxy to pieces!
Seriously, make The Void a kind of belligerent force that periodically ebbs inwards on the galaxy and carries a system or 2 or 2 dozen away each time. The end game could be figuring out 1st how to stop it, then 2nd how to traverse it and reach another galaxy!
And then instead of doing the whole lather rinse repeat routine like no man's sky, you actually run into YOUR mirror self, and have to defeat a freshly spawned version of whatever you're in at the time (plus escorts!).
Then if you feel like it, you have a mirror galaxy to conquer! lol

I left details out, sorry lol. and it is definitely unconventional, so I'm not married to the idea or anything, it's just an idea lol.
You're final opponent to conquer isn't just a more powerful enemy, but the universe itself. And defeating it leads to your final confrontation: yourself! Your ship, your fleet, hell even your entire empire!
Of course, this would require the AI be able to replicate your play style, which is unlikely lol.
I saw this on the side of the main page, and all I could think of was some weird combination of the thing from Star Trek V and Andross from Star Fox. Possibly with giant slimy space tentacles. Possibly in search of snu-snu. Edit: Possibly with the voice of Chef.
How about a final boss be a faction which invades from the void, and are procedurally built to specifically counter YOUR ships. You could even go the whole "wrath of the ancients" route like mass effect (and kotor for that matter...Damn bioware, way to be original! Lol) halo, stargate and even freaking star trek.
I often joke about making the "final boss" of StarMade but I don't build quite big enough for that (yet). On the other hand, my faction is deliberately set up like an a 1990s arcade scrolling shooter. While my gear isn't the be all/end all of PVP, I do have a boss fight built into my faction.
Three stage Final boss. Stage 1) Attempt to invade the space port while tanking heavy ion cannon bursts and heavy missiles. You'll face constant waves of Axis fighters along with suppressive fire and long range bombardment from from the nearby defense fleet.
Stage 2) After dropping the station's shields below 50%, and disabling the main turrets, The Mobile Command system launches from its anchorage and begins to fill the sky with missiles while taking aim with a massive turret in its docking bay.
Stage 3) The final battle: With the command system destroyed, the prototype assault ship you were sent here to destroy, launches and throws a ridiculously large amount of DPS at you while simultaneously out maneuvering you and laughing at your attempts to hit it with swarmers. Speed, power and lethality in a single ship; you're about to find out what it looks like.
Stage 3 - alternate) Gear up with your advanced power armor and board the command system to face off with the nefarious Dr. Whammy himself...
