The news page with updates is subject to a new launcher or change in it.
As far as I know it is planned to revive those dev-news.
The report tool, should be functional,
but as much non-checked garbage is coming in over this,
it wastes much time (for schema),
and there may some reports go through,
not sure about the tool and its functionality.
And for the testing and reporting part:
You do not have to provide logs or anything.
The only real required fields are
Anything else can be left open. (Or doesn't matter as the formal validation will correct it in case its wrong)
To be honest, there is currently a lack of helpers on the issues.
It is no problem to become a tester and be part of this.

Some things seem to be focused to be only done by very few people.
Yes this is true, but not a thing the few people really like.
We would really like to have 10 people helping reliable with that.
So everyone could work through 1 bug per day, and play the rest of the day.
Most of the testers didn't even play a single hour the last months without intention to trigger a bug to destroy the work invested.
Here is a list of stuff to be done.
There is enough to do, we do not want to be this 'unique' or special.
It only seems to turn out, that most people run away when the 'talking about doing something' gets to the part of 'actually doing something'.
