Probably because people couldn't deal with honest opinion, now I have to write when I think someone's post is dumb instead of just pressing a convenient button that effectively says the same thing for me.
At least they should have 'dislike' and 'disagree'.

I'd rather have you think about it. Too many people carelessly spam negatives because it riles the poster. If you want a reaction then think up something worth reading, type it out, press post. Then be ready for all consequences of the act. Positive and negative.
