Accidentally Spawned Spider

No way! - Did you actually have a bug pull off the classic "Alien" choreography on you?

1) Survivor leaves a panicky situation in a hurry, aboard their ship, thinking they can finally kick off their shoes, and find some solace in the dim lights of the cockpit controls.

2) An uninvited extra passenger reveals itself.

3) After a small amount of bonus struggle, the invader gets blown out an airlock.

Yeah... Ridley Scott was apparently out to get me that day. It was ridiculous and just like in the movie. I even posted about it on my shipyard thread a few years ago. I can't make this stuff up.

After that, I started building more of my ships with small bays for power armor and carrying a sniper rifle when on foot. ...Just in case.

Random chance leaking into the gameplay, replicating the plot of iconic sci-fi movies we all love, and ending up being better fun than the actual intended gameplay... That's so nice

Good thinking! I mean, with so many bugs, they must be coming from somewhere... There must be a queen; and you better have a power armor for the time you encounter a station where some mad scientist hides a full-grown queen (as opposed to the more lackluster specimens and references in my Mysterious Science Station).

Did I go as far to actually hide something into that breached vent duct?

I know that clip! I love both Sigourney and Stephen, they nailed that segment so much.
Also wish we could see a new Alien film with Ellen Ripley

Agreed. Though random, this is the kind of PVE content that Schine needs to invest heavily in. ...or we can make them all look bad by doing it ourselves. I'm on board either way. Also, +1000 for the return of Ellen Ripley and I now want a plushie chest burster.

Hopefully the forthcoming "community contracts" thing they mentioned in relation to the universe update will allow players to seriously contribute further content to enrich PvE gameplay. I actually built that science station with the goal to have something that others could add to the abandoned stations set of customized servers.
