      I recommend you check out FSM:22 to see what other kinds of display codes have been suggested. You might want to add yours to one of the existing threads. But to pick a specific block on a ship, you wouldn't really need the ID (which is something different). Since each entity has it's own grid...

      Pick-up points dock you to the nearest rail within 3 blocks of the pick-up point. Whether you put it at the top, end ,or bottom, it will be within that radius. But the pick-up point does not actually have to even be touching the rail.

      First, that format wouldn't work well for logic and would be completely irrelevant to a lot of others. It would need to detect block type and formatting for each.       I can understand that, but.. Maybe there should be a menu option to turn off the 'Opening Cinematic'. That way you see it at least once, or use the ESC key. This is actually pretty standard.       Officially, orientation doesn't matter. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work. Sometime your drone (or whatever) just won't trigger the pick-up point. Trying different orientation will eventually get it to work. No specific orientation that I have been able to determine.
