There is also a skin generator which seems to still work, I used this as the base of my skin before modifying it myself.

In the settings there is an option to create a skin from images and to select a skin to use. The .smskin file is also just a .zip so it can be opened like an archive.
When assigned with the task of creating a yacht both capable of participating in Stellar Sprints as well as long journeys into deep space some mad scientist of an engineer got the bright idea of requisitioning a fusion core slated to be installed in a military frigate. With the rest of the...
I built this frame back in 2014 for some hypothetical race, also the lineup needs more red.

Unfortunately the experiment of duel power cores was considered a failure causing the Lynx Class Cutter to be discontinued shortly after hitting the market. This Custom Sprinter Model had the second FLT core stripped out to maximize the efficiency of the sublight engines during Stellar Sprint...
The Lynx was the UCS shipyards first attempt at designing a civilian craft for the sole purpose of recreation. This small cutter class ship is powered by two powerful oversized fusion torches mounted to underslung wings. These powerplants provide the craft a 10:1 thrust to mass ratio for...
Unlike the Puma the Ocelot is a proper shuttle built for long distance short duration travel. More than anything though the Ocelot is a status symbol. Shuttle craft are work horses designed to ferry passengers and cargo between ships, ports, and planets and the Ocelot doesn't excel at either...
Safety regulations require escape craft on all civilian vessels and while most are nothing more than a coffin that ejects crew and passengers away from a doomed vessel the Puma is very much an exception. This expensive little escape shuttle doubles as an escape pod as well as a planetary...
I just looked through my old screen shots and I'd have to say 2013-2014 the game was fresh and new to me and I built most of my ships in this time. Since then I've just been constantly refitting the original ships I built and adding a few more to the fleet here and there.
I would love a system that actually encouraged interiors. Sadly the current state of the game doesn't. Integrity punishes you for sandwiching your systems in between interiors/exteriors and shield bubbles punish you for spreading your ship out.
You can put text after <style>f=0</style> so you don't loose a line. Also adding a single space after will give you a blank line as well. You do loose text characters though so it would be nice to change the style without having to add the text.
I agree here, I would love if user input logic blocks looked like they belong on the ship in relation to all decorative blocks. Of course consoles interacting with logic would help a lot but having control panels in walls would be beneficial aesthetically.
There was supposed to be a third warp option. Jump drives, Warpgates and a continuous warp travel system. I'm not sure if it is still a planned feature or not.
