      I have had this before myself, and I found the answer. One of the pirate stations has a couple of rocket turrets with a VERY long reload, the trail was red and it blasted a massive hole in my capital ship. Next time this may happen, just keep an eye out for the red trails.

      In our server, my players just make a long line away from the station, delete all but one block, and build a gate there, that way it's on it's own, it's static, and it works. EDIT: Just to clarify, it also uses the stations power, so we add rings of energy to it to help the station along.

      I make as deep a waffle-board salvage array as possible with missile controllers to give them a shotgun effect (all with the starting stuff), I find an asteroid or planet and salvage it to hell.

      Build Mode in survival makes no sense

      Second line and major fail, the only game mode is Sandbox, if the server has not been adequately configured to be 'survival' enough for you, make your own. That's what I did, and I made it more creative (200x200x200 build area), because it's more fun for my players that way.

      Can a radar jammer be activated with logic blocks?

      Actually you could have an area (near an asteroid or planet or just a place after the warp spot in a specific direction) and use the logic area controllers to de-activate the cloak/jammer, turn that into toggle or requiring a manual reset, so when you enter it, it makes the station visible.

      I'm sure, there is plenty of power to fire all 1500 missiles. So they may actually fire regardless, but just not be view-able? Thank you for your answers, I will test this immediately.
