There is already a weapon that can fire player build objects: the Pulsator

I like this idea with the repair turrets. You could build something like a repair dock. In combination with the ai idea it can be a base with drone defenses. It would be really awesome to see this implemented.

I like the ideas of better faction organisation.

The same with turret docking units would be great.
