      Implemented New Cargo System!

All I suggested was getting rid of a grid system like the one docking used and simply base it on physically placed blocks. Of course it is the same idea, only implemented slightly different. (And more convenient, IMO)

      Implemented New Cargo System!

Huh? Why wouldn't they give a mass change? Of course they could be made to change mass according to how much content they have. And if it's empty, it would use a transparent empty texture that changes at set percentages of being filled.

      Implemented New Cargo System!

I don't quite understand. What's the difference between designating an area inside your ship with a shape vs. simply filling the area you want inside your ship with storage blocks? It's much more intuitive to fill your ship with empty boxes rather than having some sort of area defining cube...

      Implemented New Cargo System!

It's a neat idea. But why fiddle around with the docking area? We all know the docking box was a pain to work with. I'd suggest a somewhat EVE Online-like solution. Each PLEX Storage Container has X cubic metres of capacity (configurable!) for items. Every item takes up Y cubic metres of space...

      Setting a custom window resolution

Thank you. So it's way above my skill level. I shall wait for actual support added by developers then.

      Setting a custom window resolution

Would adding 1840x1080 to the launcher be a simple one line addition, or do I need to de-obfuscate code, figure out a ton of variables, etc.?

      Setting a custom window resolution

Thank you. In the mean time, is there some variable I can tweak in the .jar files or would that break online play due to different checksums?

      Setting a custom window resolution

My screen is a standard 1920x1080, but I would like to run borderless windowed at 1840x1080 so that I can still see my taskbar, but have the game use as much screen as it can.

      Setting a custom window resolution

Let me better illustrate my issue with pictures. This is what happens when I run StarMade windowed: This is what should happen: Notice that StarMade has a large black area unused.

In Developement Cockpits: Simple solution (remote core access)

It's not about gameplay. It's about programming and game logic. Entities are defined as consisting of an entity-enabling part, such as the core. That's an easy way to make stations, asteroids and ships buildable anywhere, but still allow ships to move.

      Setting a custom window resolution

Hello, I know there is a resolution line in the settings.cfg, but every time StarMade loads, it the launcher overrides my changes. I even tried setting the file as read-only, but it didn't help. Is it at all possible to have the game running at a custom resolution such as 1840x1080? I would...

      Starmade on Steam

Go to Steam. In the lower left corner you can add new games. Select non-steam game, find starmade-starter and you have StarMade on Steam. The overlay doesn't work, but that's because Java games never work with Steam overlay.

Avatar size seems to be random.

It's also pretty illogical. I can either have an avatar that imitates the default one on my profile, or next to my posts, but not both. If it looks identical on the profile, it's too small next to posts. If it's correct next to posts, it's too small on the profile.

Avatar size seems to be random.

Wow. It's even more ridiculous than I expected. So I can either have a 96x96 avatar that looks good on posts, or a 192x192 avatar that looks good on the profile. It's impossible to have both because the default avatar is magic and changes depending on where you look at it.

Avatar size seems to be random.

Just compare the avatar in the two profiles I linked and then compare the avatar size in my posts and in the other user's posts. I only changed the "head" to be below the "body" and did nothing to the image dimensions. Despite that, my posts have a tiny avatar compared to default.

Avatar size seems to be random.

You seem to be missing the point. I'm not saying file size, I'm saying pixels. A 192 by 192 pixel image uploaded and shown in the profile as identical to the default 192 by 192 image is displayed differently when the small circle is added to it next to posts. My current avatar is absolutely...

Suggestion Increase file sizes - File too big

Just for people who might have this problem: Don't use PNG. It's great for very detailed lossless images, but a real resource hog for random profile backgrounds. For comparison, this is Faran's profile picture in PNG: And this in JPG at 85% quality: Yes. There is a slight decrease in image...

Avatar size seems to be random.

So... A very minor, but still irritating and puzzling bug. I have a habit of taking default avatars and just gimping them into something slightly different. Just to let people know I know how to change an avatar, but I can't be bothered to find anything special. Anyway, this is the first forum...

      I already bought the game

Thank you for the explanation. I was looking around the completely new site and could not find any mention of my account status. The most perplexing part was "BUY" in the upper corner, which I guessed should not be visible if the site knew I own the game. Anyway. I clicked the registry thing...
