Factories needs to be placed on either a station or a planet. I think I remember something about them going to be able to be placed on ships at some point. But until further you need a station/planet, I suggest station as they lag less.

have you tried to reset the outputs? Find the weapon block you want to be the output and press "R" on it.

unless you have been on the server before and the spawn location haven't been tinkered with you should spawn near a shop in sector 2.2.2. This goes for both singleplayer and multiplayer

Maybe just show a simplistic version of the galaxy map while accessing the block will open another version of the galaxy map that will show scanned enemies last location and the current location of all factioned and allied ships within the radius of the communication array?

Heatseakers does not hit ships with faction blocks that are in your faction but they sill hit other factions you are allied with. Heatseakers should target anything that is not in your faction

ahhh well that would be pretty hard as accuracy of AI is kinda bad and with the amount of missiles. so you will probably hit with most of those missiles. well you could test it via making a "ship" with a couple of hundred PD turrets

I do not know about beams nor cannon shots but anything explosive with a radius can go through armour and hit everything that would be sitting behind it. If it is indeed a bug you found. We need to get fixed the general problem about weapons hitting armour and their explosive power ignoring it...
