Yes, you can switch them off, and have no cool skybox whatsoever. That's kinda boring too. All I'm asking for is more reasonable-looking skyboxes, while preserving (possibly amplifying) the awesomeness.

It seems that it's bugged at the moment, unless I was just doing something wrong. But, yes, left click is supposed to activate things (or close doors, I guess) and right click is supposed to turn things off (or open doors).

You have to make sure that none of the old docking system blocks (Turrets or fixed docking) remain in use. Did you forget to redo your turrets?

Maximum planet size should definitely be tied to sector size, for the record. Otherwise things can potentially mess up pretty terribly...

This sounds like a really terrible idea... I hate gigantic megatitans as much as the next guy, but would you really like anything that requires more than a million power to suddenly not work well? Because that sounds really dumb.

Usually features are only worked on once per update cycle... If another feature set gets added within this dev cycle there will probably be another dev blog.

Huge piles of ships is only used currently because ship-size balancing doesn't seem to work/be linear. A large swarm of tiny drones seems to be more effective than, say, a group of three corvette-ish-sized ships built using the same blocks.

Accounting for missed shots requires numbers that "feel right," which isn't exact mathematical balancing anyway.

I think this sums up what should be the primary objective of balancing in this game... Not mathematical or theoretical weapons balancing, just making as many possibilities viable as possible.

It does attempt to lead shots - including on beams, resulting in lots of missing. This is a bug and will be fixed, though.
