Yup cubatoms have been removed and replaced with the current crafting system. Those will probally be removed when ever the new HUD is released so just ignore them for now.
While a pulse in all directions is cool no one ever uses it in a practical way since the damage is spread over too large of an area and a lot of the actual pulse never hits anything.
Here is a picture from the Clone Wars series and this is pretty much exactly how I envision it, a large disk that can either deal damage to a large number of ships or a large area on one.
Thanks for the opinions! I probably will use the right for civilian crafts and mining vessels, middle for military, and left for special ops/ personal ships for commanders and such.

I dont know if this would work but you could put up your symmetry planes and then use the new replace tool on what you already built and it should rebuild it on the other side facing forward. Then turn off you planes and delete the old backwards section. You can then copy and paste it on a new...
If you are worried about drones taking up space in your ship then build external docks for them instead. And yes I love drones, great way to keep enemy turret fire off of your main ship.

Exactly like that, minus a complete ring hah. I really didn't want to weaken my fighters a bunch so they could jump and this solution works flawlessly.
