I see an issue with not offering the manual download zip files.
servers. (yey, I'm ranting about servers again)
We don't use the launcher to launcher servers. that would be silly. You can't automate it. So we have to download the zips to update. Removing them would make it unnecessarily...
All star trek ships suffer with the low mass compared to huge dimensions. do we care? no!
We look cool while unleashing a well designed torrent of weapons fire on each other! :P
This has always confused me. The moderators complain when a thread gets necro'd. Fair enough. Then, they complain when someone makes the 42nd suggestion for this thing claiming they clearly didnt look around and should have posted on the same thread so that it's easy to find the suggestions...
The reason people are worried about running out of ID's is because it has been confirmed there is a limited number. 2048 to be precise. This is dictated in the netcode, and would require schema to rework how the data is sent, potentially making it more network intensive.
The break off works, its just abit derpy, so it's off by default. I know that schema wants it to be a default thing, its just not done, nor is it a high priority. Same with collision damage, as they both work alongside each other rather well ^^
Everyone is talking about it, but it is a lot of effort and co-ordination to get it to be worth while. I think the most it will happen is every month or 2
Annoyingly, thats the idea. Part of this ridiculous war against titans. I told schema the same thing and he said that bigger ships will be getting an agility boost and turrets will get buffed. I don't know how, but yeah :)
While your opinion is valid and I understand where you are coming from in regards to realism, the thrust system is not about being realistic, its about being balanced. A titan should not be able to reverse at the same speed it can fly forwards ^^
I think it's about the memory usage. Think about it, each step has to be stored in memory, and having too many steps would eat up alot of memory having to save all of the blocks edited in anyway.
