Cheating? It would provide a reason to have rooms (you have to be against completely solid ships) promote usage of astronaut mode provide a way to board ships in battles I don't see how it would be cheating, same with the jump drive. could you clarify?

I would send a PM to @DukeofRealms with a copy of the code, and invoice if you have it. He is the one responsible for pretty much anything that isn't the game it seems. Or wait for him to come here :)

Yes, which can be hard to get and you will need alot to accomodate for lenght width and height. It is a balancing mechanic.

Schema has said that the docking system will be reworked in the (possibly near) future. The current system is there to stop you docking a 1km ship to a station. That config setting is only there for the people who only build rather than playing the game.

It seems to use the same system that places a ship when you buy one, and that seems to only work while in a ship, otherwise you get this. Try getting in a ship core, facing the direction a station would normally face and then do the /load command.
