Not to shit on your plans, but I doubt that will happen. This community isn't big enough right now to have 10 people in its chat, let alone 10 poeple willing to join a faction that's got nothing to show :)

Sounds for cannons are pretty funny right now and rarely play, but it is possible. You just need to find the right sound file in /data/audio-resource and replace it.

He's working on updating the player ones, one of the most recent posts is the updating of Zeno's design.

I said new installaiton, not allow steam to scan and repair it. Steam ignores files created by the game such as the client-database cache.

Just to be sure, try connecting with a fresh installation of the game.

The more likely reason is because everyone is bored of a game with no gameplay and yet constant updates that ruin ships. Everyone is bored of servers resetting and having to start again. Everyone is bored of the constant bitching and arguing.

7x7x7. I am too lazy to refit my old ships that had cargo containers from before the rails update. I don't need them to fit in a USD, every hangar I have is taller than that, so I can always fit some sort of transport for them
