I don't think anyone should care as much as this thread does. We have options available to alleviate this issue. Thanks for bringing it up. The devs have certainly heard about it. If they feel it is important then they will make time to sort it out.

Are you on single player? If you are then there is no need to upload them as they should already be in your BP folder. But yes if they are sment files you can either import them with the in game ship catalog manager or extract them using 7-zip/winrar or a similar program.

My input is this. Many people like to throw massive amounts of systems into a ship. Many people care less about interior space than the stats or the exterior design. If you want to completely wreck ships then pack as much stuff in. If you want to improve building skills then layout larger...
