as much as i want shipyards, i get the feeling from the way blueprints work now that it won't involve actual ships being built before our eyes. it might be less spectacular in order to not destroy the server with lag when the game is building big ships

i had an idea while ago that seems very relevant now.
keep the buy with credits system but dramatically increase the buying price. the idea is that the trading guild could make your ship instantly for you but will demand a huge "Construction" Fee. somewhere in the ballpark of 20-50% increase...
since blueprints are now an actual item in game, we could potentially have player shops selling fully assembled ships.
shipyards could act like a real shop where you would go to get a specific shipwrights designs as oppose to getting it from a trading guild shop
