EXACTLY
right now, this would improve combat so much.
It may be a bit wonky, but is a very easy fix to a major issue right now that could be solved more elegantly in the future.
I mean if you shoot the ships on the carrier, the ships will still get destroyed. They just wont undock and clip through everything and cause lag. I don't really see the issue, it would perhaps be less epic to see ships fling off. Personally I'd prefer they stay on than to experience the lag it...
OHMYGOD PLEASE!
Whenever I fight pirates a bunch of shit undocks constantly, e.g. rail doors, turrets and other docked bullshit. This causes SO much lag and if I'm using lock on missiles, is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.
Bench what do you think?
Hello,
I am Kilim. My favorite thing to do in starmade is make good 1-10k mass very combat effective ships. I am 21, from Stockholm, Sweden and currently studying Pharmacy.
It would make dumb fire missiles useless, but why can't schine do what they used to do in that dumbfire missiles have double damage compared to heatseeker/lockon?
True but I still think it's better that it exists rather than unloaded ships not functioning at all. You could also just not use docked modules on AI drones. I mean 2 million power on drones is still decent plus you can use many of them :)
Big boat. But if those people in the small boat were carrying RPGs maybe the small boat
Sidenote: Why are so many people being complete dicks to this guy rather than just explaining whatever you want to say in a friendly manner...?
I think it would be nice for the planets to have a more spacey feel. The terrain generation - especially on ice planets, needs to stop looking like pentagonal tumours
I personally wouldn't mind reclassifying my ships for a universal classification system. I agree with Nauvran that if it ever were to happen it ought to be based on mass. The mass of a ship honestly means more in regards to it's properties than length.
