the closest that i could say would work is to just build ships that look like the blast and rig up some damage pulses set on a logic clock. set the logic clock to start when the ship is launched. When you "fire" the weapon it will really just be a ship launched with shootout rails that...

actually you have to have a damage pulse system attached in order for them to rush toward a target. if you just put a warhead on drone it will do nothing. also its not a guarantee hit if the drone is rushing a moving target. the game will attempt to stop the ship in front of the enemy before it...

I think you just answered your own question. Why not just fold its functionality into jump drives by having a special chamber that greatly extends the jump drive range but gives some severe penalties?
