I'm a little bit of a lot of things.
I'm a computer scientist, so I like my technical stuff and my functional ships. Respect the highly engineered noob cube: just because it's ugly as fuck doesn't mean it can't put a 31 diameter hole in your hull with one shot. I really like some of the cool...
For the record, if you want to make spinning things, you can place a rail rotator (either direction) and link it to 9 activation blocks. When you dock to it, it'll spin forever.
All weapons fire through your ship, because this allows you to use other blocks (like crystals or lava) to cover the front of the guns for visual effect.
If you have a beam blinking out the side, you've probably linked your weapons wrong. All of your beams should be travelling in the same...
I mean, anyone who didn't like you would probably try to blow up your planet base too. And anyone concerned about that should make use of homebase protection.
Minecraft has a .1s tick system. Signals move through redstone dust instantaneously, but torches, repeaters, and pistons take .1s to toggle. Signals also can't move through more than 15(?) blocks of redstone in a line.
Effectively what this does is spread out computation over many frames, which...
I generally agree with this. Hunger in minecraft is just annoying; generally I ignore it completely until I can sustain myself by bringing a stack of melons everywhere. After that, it doesn't affect me at all; melons can be easily farmed in a small space and have a huge yield. I spend 30 seconds...
Updated all systems to v0.19624. Now has:
Basic hull (blue stripes are standard armor)
Rail docker on the bottom
5k cargo space
Teleporter
50% overdrive
2.5 TWR
100k shields
2.5k shield regen
Jump drive is probably about the same as it was before
I was building a little anti drone turret in a beautiful nebula sector. I went into flight mode to switch into the turret base, but instead I accidentally undocked the barrel. The game froze for a few seconds, and when it unfroze, I was in the barrel in pitch black space. I wasn't sure what was...
The theme of this thread seems to be "the logic system is broken because it doesn't work exactly the way I want it to". I'm going to stick with my original point:
The functionality you want already exists and the system works as intended.
You said you wanted to make Conway's Game of Life in Starmade - I suggest you try building it with a normal programming language (if you know nothing about GUIs, javascript is probably a good choice). People like building turing complete redstone computers, which is nice, but they're just...
I would also add warheads. Anything with a computer or a warhead should be 50%, everything else 100%. I'm pretty sure that cuts out all the combat-useful things you could possibly do with rails.
