Well, I just assume that's how it works. Considering that all people with medals have one or more ships on the popular page.

I'm pretty sure that it's all related to the community content section. Meaning that you need probably two or more ships to be on the front page for some time in order to get a medal. Side note: You continuously impress me with your ships. Give the man a badge @DukeofRealms , seriously.

You're mostly better off to just sell stuff at shops and then buy the materials you need. To be honest, the balance of the current crafting system is more tilted towards.... uh... an extremely hardcore play style (as in making a single shield block is extremely tenuous).

@Trollerbobman That's why you leave a nice square hole inside the ship you blueprinted and add the FTL modules on the spot using the advanced build mode, which would take at most 30 seconds :P .
