If you can use logic blocks you can use a PLC. It coded using logic not a programming language. They call them programmable because they aren't hardwired to be one way or another. Usually people use a laptop to connect to them and it has a program on the laptop that lets you set it up using the...
Thanks for letting me know. They could have been a hell of a lot more clear. When I hear controllers I tend to think PLC (Programmable logic controllers) which are often used to control things like elevators. It would certainly solve the job you want and about 800 other issues people have on here.
Ok, This leaves me with a few questions. From my understanding if factions loose enough points the home base becomes vulnerable.
The point of the home base not being vulnerable was primarily for two reasons as I understand give people a point to restart from especially newbie players and allow...
From what I understand they are planning on putting controllers in the game. Which if they act like a PLC then would make this pointless.
You'll find that listed in the following link under "balance changes"

Mentioned something about this some time ago. Not sure I put it in a suggestion though. I wanted it so I could use it to turn on other and fire other weapons based on 1 weapon firing. Thus I could fire more than 1 weapon at a time.
The only issue about this so far is that without the automation and docking being improved it is going to be a long while before I build a full one of these. I haven't the patients or time to load even a small version let alone a full size one.
I guess one could make the smaller one and build...
It depends on what you are trying to do. Which is why I provided the links you can download the items and go through the circuits to see how they work.
Yes, that is how my stick ship works its in community with the 5x5x5 drones.
Yes,
Rather than worry about the lagg some mentioned. Create a small ship that's entire job is to load drones onto the primary ship.
Lets just say it has 8 drones on it. Which you then drive to the other ship hit the...
So much for this game being science fiction based. There is pretty much no science or based in reality to this game.
And we continually see suggestion like this one.

I use logic for power and shield modules,
drone launching, - see http://starmadedock.net/content/stick-ship-drones.3912/
swarm missiles, I can get 2 times as many swarm missiles in my ship by making them modular than just sticking them in.
This ship makes use of the compact modular missile...
My apology apparently they did something to it since last I tested. You are correct.
Not like the change made much difference. +/- 1 block in the scheme of things is insignificant. I checked the rest of the primary workings of it at least that still works.
I was trying to find that curve chart...
I did test it in game that is how I know you save only 1 block. And yes you save one block.
The reason is because you get to reuse 1 block in the second dimension. It doesn't work though for the 3rd dimension because you already used it.
So if you take 3 blocks and put them in an L shape it...
Actually you are wrong. Strait lines are the most efficient. You can only save 1 block by making a cross.
I not only ran the math I actually built them and tested them.
The reason is the formula doesn't go by volume as so many people misinterpret but the addition of the dimensions.
But doing so...
How about this a singularity Missile that opens a portal directly to your cargo.
So it won't be to over powering it can't bypass shields. Shields have to be down for it to work and it doesn't take shields down any on its own.
This was my first use of them. You probably can figure out huge that is by looking at the blocks near the entry. Notice the thrusters on all the modules. Yes, it would be cool to have that ability in this game.
Simple solution to that prevent them from turning back to a station in an...
In case anyone is interested the Most efficient reactor setup currently is 912 block combined dimensions. providing 1665.8 e per block.
If you are interested in what size power module that would work out to with two beams.
Total power produced by 912 blocks would be 1,519,165.2 e
beam time =...
Not until they increase AI or release the ability to create real mods in the game and someone makes it.
You can do that for the most part. With what is currently available. I doubt though you could make a complete connection on the last to the first though. It would still look like it. Not...
I tend to make a mix of stuff.
Some times I like figuring out the most messed up thing I can to take advantage of the current legit aspects of the game.
The stick ship and drones would be a good example of that.
Other times I like to just make a decent ship that is effective for the game...
Technically both Rodina and Interstellar rift are in Alpha.
The creator of Rodina doesn't like the terms Alpha and Early Access he prefers continued development. There entire team profile is listed on their site. Interstellar Rift I couldn't find as much about their team.
Technically star-made...
