I don't think so. At some point I don't want to be in every battle. I just want to send some NPC crew to go secure a station or fend of a small scav raiding party.
I've always thought an updated map with this type of view is the way to go.
I don't really want to micro manage movement in the sector. I think we should regulate that to human players, but we could set targets and strategies for the ai to follow.
Definitely should not mess with logic, and it only needs to happen client side. We definitely need a build mode flash light then, but I think it would be pretty cool to use your power beam to turn on lights in a derelict ship or building.
NeonSturm is talking about doing it programmatically. Basically with code. It can be great in certain instances, but makes it harder for creative type people to add without knowing code and having access to source.
Hey guys,
I'm on windows 10, but after downloading the new launcher with Steam, and using it after I get sync with the server and its supposed to show the SPAWN/EXIT dialog its just black, but if I use the old launcher it works fine. Ideas? I haven't troubleshot this much yet.
Being able to select areas or neutral areas of factions to spawn from would be cool. It would be great to see factions have an area for new players to spawn into and help. Especially to try and recruit.
I think it's unique and its possibly something to consider. The only thing I think needs to happen for fighters though is better ai, and a buff to warheads.
Fighter bombers should just be a vehicle for launching torpedos, and mostly be AI controlled.
I was driving home and pondering what kind of event might bring together a whole server. Rip it to shreads and hope it inspires some great late gameplay options.
A quick overview:
There should be a way to have your NPC citizens do archelogical digs. Almost like research, but specifically having...
I think more sides is fine. Sure it's more entities but its a better opportunity to not load more or use the level of detail everyone is hung up about.
The technical solution to bigger planets is divide and conquer. Want it to work on most computers with 4k ram then find ways to sim and only...
We really need a way to just have jump coordinates locally. Transmit to the warpgate coordinates and go. This gets rid of the tedium, and introduces lots of fun things. Like warping to your secret base because only you have the coordinates.
Also makes gates more of a target to take.
