Quick but good idea: next to the enemy-useable checkbox there could be an option for the Traiding guild to use or not use the ship. that way you can filter out what ships both sides will have. (would also make a great filter for the Isanth IV versus Isanth V battles)

I agree. The fact that you can put them on stations as a decorative block makes it annoying. This is why I would like this put into effect.
