      I would love it if there was a period of alignment after undocking similar to astronaut alignment/attachment. Sort of soft docking until it exits the bounding box of its parent entity under its own power. Would save a lot of collision shenanigans.

      It depends on the entity hit, if the armour is hit it will use the armours ion bonus when passing it down the chain. If the shield (shield entity not shield stat) is hit it will use the shields ion bonus If the main ship is hit it will use the main ships ion bonus.

      With starmade you are likely to have to rely on physical systems (eg rotator blocks) or a PRNG in logic to get usable randomness. A feedback register would probably be one of the simplest to implement.

      Consider it a strip down and refit, 'repair' or reboot the ship at a shop if you need to first then do it if you want to limit/not feel so cheaty about it. Too bad starmade doesn't have pipe cleaners ;)

      Well after further play testing, I don't really see the new HP system as a problem. I can understand how homogenous ship designs can face serious issues, but its up to them if they want to keep to their outdated designs.
